  1. Nice! I haven't opened mine, I'm trying to finish off my Old Raj, Boomsa, and Plymouth first
  2. Lost in the Fog (Clock Bar) Bulleit Bourbon, Marolo Chamomile Grappa, Benedictine, Dolin Dry with Chamomile Flower Gone Awry (Clock Bar) Rittenhouse 100, luxardo maraschino, lemon juice, agave syrup, habanero tincture
  3. Snared Rum (Clock Bar) Flor de Cana Rum, Grapefruit Juice, St. Germain, Green Chartreuse, Ginger Beer
  4. Too many cocktails last night with Al at Smuggler's Cove followed by Jaspers. The former is a Tiki bar with the largest rum collection I've ever seen and innovative ingredients like nerves of steel and monkey brains. Here is one Rum that Al tried that took them a good 15 minutes to find and the another 5 to remember to pour St. Nicholas Abbey - Barbados
  5. I wonder how well the electrophoresis power supplies on EBay would work for 'stat amp prototyping? Specs look good, and the price is right, they are dirt cheap. I bet KG would be the perfect person to comment on this...
  6. The reserve was cheap. Just a FYI, but these require a TEKPROBE compatible scope. The P5200 doesn't.
  7. maybe, but the issue there is shipping, for two reasons, weight and fragility. If you feel okay putting those in a padded envelope, then I might be willing to help.
  8. I have a quick group buy going here for the 10m90s if anyone is interested: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/group-buys/194262-ic-ixys-ixcp10m90s-group-buy-quick.html Almost at the goal, at which point I'll close the group buy, so get 'em while they are hot!
  9. Lots of good drinks. My favorite so far is Diplamatico Rum, Kirsch and Orange Juice.
  10. I'm increasIngly skeptical of bartenders that recommend Old Overholt. I'm having a Bonal and Rye with the above at the Clock Bar.
  11. some PCBs from BatchPCB. yay!
  12. Yeah, I don't know what to say. I haven't had to deal with authenticating these parts, as every single part I have came from an authorized Renesas dealer with original packaging. One just has to be prepared to pay in bulk.
  13. Face-palm. Anyways, did a layout for a PCB only to find out when doing the last minute checks that I made a mistake in the schematic. Grr..
  14. You cannot really tell from that setup. You need to measure them at their rated voltages and a more realistic base current.
  15. I really like that wine, it's one of the regulars I pick up at the store.
  16. [raises hand] I'll be there Sunday!
  17. So Al, are Carpano and Cocchi similar and Bonal and Punt e Mas similar?
  18. Well, the Torino is very good. I'm on my fourth, killed the Ritt. I'd say a value compared to Carpano... Perhaps between Punt e Mas and Carpano in taste. 3 oz Ritt 1.5 oz Cocchi Torino Orange bitters Yum!
  19. Manhattan with Cocchi Torino and Rittenhouse 100.
  20. I like equal parts It's very yummy stuff.
  21. Yeah, I went through a few. I was tired of the 2.5K record length of the entry Tek scopes and realized I needed to jump to 300Mhz. Here a shot of today's testing
  22. I dunno, I don't think this is a top flight source myself. I haven't really been impressed the times I've spent with it. But, give it a spin and report back!
  23. Inverted Manhattan 1.5 oz Cocchi Torino 0.75 oz Handy rye 1 dash cherry bitters Stir and garnish with FOTM cherries!
  24. That's one item that at least I can buy here in Austin, and in fact I have a Pet Smart right up the road! I decided on an inverted Manhattan, to show off the vermouth.
