  1. That just means that V_(BR)DSX is in range. For example, I'd expect an IRF610 to have the same number for this test. Also, there are plenty of other devices as well. Unfortunately, you haven't really established much with this test. If it fails, yeah that's great. If it passes, you still have reasonable doubt.
  2. How are you using the tester? The only way to know for sure is a curve tracer. This tester isn't going to be 100% reliable, it just will weed out the obvious fakes.
  3. That absolutely won't work. You need a custom PCB this case.
  4. ... Another, but with Boker's.
  5. Again, I'm really impressed with the Vintage Bourbon... Quite nice.
  6. A Vintage Bourbon 17 - Carpano Antica - Cherry Bitter Manhattan.
  7. This is the recipe I used: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=5&ved=0CDEQFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fmarriedwithdinner.com%2F2008%2F06%2F13%2Fdotw-monte-carlo%2F&ei=L9FuTt2dJcngsQKs8Oi3CQ&usg=AFQjCNH1GKF6eKSflheoVDO0jFjp82l-wg&sig2=MiO1OSKoj4bZwBK9NdYBCA
  8. Ah, you have a good memory any other recommendations out there? Otherwise, I'll try the Reposado Jim, have you tried the Casa Noble? It's damn good stuff, no faults here...
  9. So, did some major damage go the tequila tonite. Need to pick up another bottle tomorrow. Cannot get Al's fancy Fortelezza. Has anyone tried Partida Reposado?
  10. Well, HP made an announcement today that we've been planning on for the last 6 months or so, the new HP Enterprise Security Products organization. We'll see how this fares.... http://www.hpenterprisesecurity.com/
  11. Sidecar 1.5 oz Aquavit .75 oz Cointreau .75 oz Meyer Lemon juice Egg white Shake and garnish with a lemon twist
  12. This might be the best bourbon cocktail ever. Monte Carlo (Esquire version, IIRC)
  13. In my opinion, its better than Campari. It's very versatile as well, it easily substitutes for Campari, Italian vermouth and even something like Peychaud's... Not a direct substitute obviously, but it always results in an interesting variation. Highly recommended.
  14. Not Theory (proposed) 3/4 oz Reposado Tequila 3/4 oz Gran Classico Bitter 3/4 oz Cocchi Torino 1/4 oz simple syrup Stir and garnish with a grapefruit peel. Sorta a play on words that this is an odd mix of ingredients at first sight. I realize that this is similar to other drinks, but this particular combo of particular ingredients is very nice.
  15. Justin, this is probably obvious to everyone else but me, but what sort of things can this it do and what are you planning to do specifically?
  16. Yup. I has a Darjeeling note that I'm really loving.
  17. Old Fashioned Use old-fashioned cocktail glass. Sugar, 1 lump. Seltzer, 1 dash, and crush sugar with muddler. Ice, one square piece. Orange bitters, 1 dash. Angostura bitters, 1 dash. Lemon peel, 1 piece. Whiskey, 1 jigger. Stir gently and serve with spoon. This is easily the best bourbon i have ever had, which includes Pappy and Antique Collection. Haven't had Parkers. Any opinions on this matter?
  18. Vistalba 2006 Corte B
  19. Nah, not really. Given the options and condition and accessories I probably paid a bit above market value. I'd never go back though, it's a really nice setup.
  20. The issue with that package is the three heat slugs under the chip. Depending on your thermal requirements, a custom breakout PCB is really needed. You can find surplus heat sinks with pre-tapped holes, check out EBay. Nothing new-stock though. You could look into some of the clip designs though, or using a single bar to apply pressure to a number of devices at once... Plenty of ways to get creative here.
  21. I did some similar tests and found that CA was better with the higher strength ryes. But I like Torino better in the average case. Me? a really really big Negroni: 2.25 oz gin 2.25 oz Carpano Antica 2.25 oz Campari
  22. Yup, that's what I've been told.. I can get the Seco here, nice stuff, but had a bad experience with the Marie Brizard Anisette, very very sweet stuff and am looking for something else.
  23. Mikey, what about the Springer 12 cask series, such as the Claret and the other 5 or so. Any experience with those?
  24. I might be be able to help, but it will have to be next week at the earliest. Too bad you guys cannot distribute some chinchon dulce anis to me
