  1. I see. What's on sale? I'll sign up.
  2. Anyone else notice all the "no snow globes alllowed" TSA signs?
  3. Anyone keep track of the PcX discount specials? I'm wanting to get some Caps and am waiting around for the next special. If anyone happens to notice the announcement or has a feeling when it would be, perhaps you could post here?
  4. fair assumption, yes.
  5. Using a quick connect terminal that allows for 2x18AWG wire diameter input, Really, that's the best way.
  6. interesting article: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/diyaudio-com-articles/163575-audio-component-grounding-interconnection.html
  7. you want a (room temperature vulcanizing) RTV that is suitable for PCBs. GE/Momentive make good ones. Google is your friend. Fry's sells it, of all places here in Texas.
  8. I respect that. I have heard the most improvement out of my phono stage upgrades. NP says the new topology is a very nice step up, hence my curiosity.
  9. Knob question! Any creative ways to do any of the following: multiple "preset" positions using a traditional pot "lock" the position (could require removing the top to unlock)? I'm thinking I'd have a shaft extender going back to a PCB mount pot. I guess a false front could satisfy #2, which is the real requirement. #1 would be cool if there was a way to do it, I'm guessing a mechanical solution of sorts is what I'm looking for.
  10. That's lots of Facebook stalkers!
  11. I'd side with the douche on this one. RMAA is worthless if you're looking for absolute measurements. Relative measurements, like most of us use to iteratively improve designs it's decent. agreed. That's the "cost" of minimal part designs I guess. In my opinion, this trade-off makes Charles Hansen's designs impressive, as not relying on global feedback and getting the numbers he does is a lot of work.
  12. The ones reason I like the EN3 are they are cheap, decent pin densities and most importantly have PCB mount versions.
  13. I like Switchcraft EN3 series.
  14. A few threads don't load in Tapatalk, the oh-face-dac thread being one.
  15. Once the nextgen hybrids come out that support flash pinning, that problem will go away.
  16. did you learn much about your co-workers that was useful?
  17. Best price on TKD 2511 mono 10K? I need three or so.
  18. I believe my type is the most rare. I've never met any others. We did this study across my entire company at some point. I was told I was a complete outlier and the people conducting the test treated me like a potential axe murder or something (Hitler, bin Laden, Trotsky, etc are all assumed to be the same)
  19. sweet, I stand corrected!
  20. INFJ I'd bet one of the only F's around here, but I could be wrong.
  21. a bit of my soul was lost last night. Cracked open a sealed bag of 200 2SJ74 JFETs. I did bring a lot of joy to an otherwise horrible day.
  22. I has a sad for your die temps. Plastic parts are already disadvantaged compared to their metal brethren.
  23. +1 I almost immediately discarded this option on the SIT circuit I'm playing with.
