Agreed...ENKEI has been around for dog years and has proven itself on and off the track. For the longest time what I saw was they focused on the imports (read: predominantly Asian makes and smaller cars that are smart for road racing at least here in the U.S.). They've expanded and are now offering larger wheels which is a very cool option for those of us with big gals... I run 20's on the street on my plus size girl. I had to go with 19's for the standing mile stuff as the Hoosier R6 was the only real game in town with any traction that could handle the speeds, provide some traction and pass tech. Now there's a Hoosier R7 but I've still got a lot of life in the R6's so I haven't tried them yet. These are the 19's I had Forgestar make for me a few years back... These are the new street shoes I just had made. Installed last month... HS The weenie rear brakes are my drag race setup so I can get a 15" wheel on for a big sidewall tire....me no likey but they get the job done. The StopTechs I use for the standing mile are sooooo much better. HS

HRE's are nice but they're proud. You might want to have a look at Forgestar's rotary forged wheels. Great value for money. Weight is right, you can get them in a variety of colors, sizes, lug patterns and offsets, and I've run them up to high speeds in a heavy car...they're sound. I use them for my standing mile runs and recently bought a set for the street. Best of luck. HS

I've been thinking about some logical setup to help my aging eyes with the finer work. Was thinking perhaps a jewelers type setup or something but have not investigated anything seriously yet. HS

Oh no...I hope your mom came out OK. We had several of them in the family. Started with 240's in the early 70's, Weber carbs and all. I think they really became great cars with the addition of the Bosch fuel injection and overdrive....fun and practical. Hard to beat the lines on them short of a Jag and that's another game altogether. HS

Off to college later this year which will be our first out the door and a serious adjustment for the family. I wish I had the pleasure of having met many of you in person as I expect my friendly banter is probably lost in translation. I do intend it to be in good humor. The only car I have left with an old school clutch is my little 1978 Datsun 280Z. Just like the one I drove in college except this one only had 4 speeds and my original girl had overdrive (5th gear). I bought it to teach my boys how to drive a synchro. Fortunately my oldest son truly enjoys it. Number two is TBD. He just turned 16. The Challenger used to have a 6 speed Tremec but I couldn't keep it alive with the increases in power. Shame really. HS
