LOL. Can't argue with that... HS

The Santos has always been a great looking watch and the newer options are no exceptions. Medium...LOL HS

Wow. Time marches on ruthlessly... Ed King...Godspeed, sir. Just watched a great documentary on the band that included interviews with Ed. Playing on Showtime if memory serves me. Worth a watch if you are so inclined. RIP, Senator McCain. You carved your own path and seemed to always be true to yourself. This political environment could use more like you... HS

RIP, Aretha... HS

What spritzer said. They're a nice staple for the electrostatically inclined... HS

Va’ con Dio... HS

In my simple mind it's a matter of how modern or classic your tastes lean. The last being the most modern and the Jubilee with fluted being the most classic IMO. All look great. I prefer the Oyster bracelet by a good margin. HS

The Grand Seiko's look very nice indeed. I own a Seiko from the Japanese market that was great value for money IMO. The two Omega Railmasters on the left hand side were very nice. HS

Good looking watch the BB58. Fairly tall but perhaps it wears less so? I need to try one on. Im thinking it looks a lot like your Rolex, no? Best of luck with the move. Always stressful. HS

My new at the time 007a’s developed an imbalance as well a few years back. I tried popping them without joy. Back they went replaced with new units. No drama since then. HS

Any size you had in mind, Rossliew? That narrowed it down for me quite a bit. HS

The blue sunburst dial looks very nice, VPI. I like that they didn’t put a blue band on it. I find that’s overkill for my tastes generally speaking. Hodinkee did a nice review on the watch you may have seen. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/blancpain-fifty-fathoms-bathyscaphe-38mm-hands-on HS

The Bathyscape looks interesting, particularly as it’s 38mm. You thinking the black (grayish) or blue version? The IWC is also a handsome looking watch IMO. HS I like your second recommendation, ER...the Drive de Cartier. Have for a few years now. I think it’s just a bit too large for me, though. Almost bought one a while back. HS

The full on tubular chassis, going up a rough hill and rolling backwards jobbies are a lot to process... A lot. HS

RIP Joël Robuchon. When Michelin mourns, you did it well... HS

I have not worn anything other than my oyster perpetual either. Love the simplicity and craftsmanship of the thing. Weight is good...perhaps a bit heavy but not bad. HS

Well, you saved mom a few bucks HS

I understand why you're in the middle. Both will look great especially compared to the XL which I just don't get at all. Shoot some pics of each. My gut tells me the L will be the sweet spot. Looks really nice with a tan leather band. HS

Good stuff. You mean the medium vs the large? HS

RIP to the victims in Greece. Godspeed, Sergio... HS

I've seen their videos before. Hop covered something I had read recently which is quite interesting. They paid real money for the company from what I recall. Nice watch but a wee bit above what I'd be comfortable paying...LOL. HS edit: wee as in little not a wiz
