Stax are updating the SR-001? Color me interested.

Reminded me of this classic line from Headphile Larry. http://www.headphile.com/page6.html

You need a Schiit Asgard and a LCD-2 to optimize the T50P to their full potential. [/kwkarth]

No hot top end on my pair either. Actually, when I compared my JH13 to other headphones at our last meet here, I thought it was lacking just a tiny bit of top end compared to most full-sized open headphones. It doesn't stop at all my enjoyment of the JH13 as I much prefer a "smooth" top end than a hot top end, but that's one of the very few faults I can find on these headphones. With that said, since I bought the JH13, I haven't thought for a second about buying another pair of headphones.

Have you ever listened to German progressive rock band Eloy? They sound like WYWH/Animals-era Pink Floyd with a "spacier" sound and a weird German accent. Check out 'Oceans' or 'Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes', I bet you'll like them.

I gave a chance to Arcade Fire once again and listened to a few tracks of their new album: It didn't take too long that I switched to something more of my liking. Symphony X - Twilight in Olympus

Caramelized onions is pretty damn simple really, all you need is good olive oil and onions, and in 20 minutes you're set. Awesome dressing for burgers and sandwiches.

Sorry about your dog Steve, that really sucks. Keep us updated when he comes back from the vet.

I had in mind to eat a burger tonight and decided to have a go at their recipe. I've eaten once at an In-N-Out, but I was 10 years old so I don't remember how it tastes, I just remember it was very good for fast food. I've followed their instructions (a bit loosely) and the result is a very tasty. My burger is probably a sacrilege for a real In-N-Out customer from the US West Coast, but as a Canadian outsider of the whole In-N-Out mystique, I think it's very good! I need to improve at food photography though:

I can't imagine what would happen if the search function was broken on such a forum.

Thanks for the pics and impressions! I'm thirsty now, too bad the fridge is empty.

Nice, beer I know for once! Les Trois Mousquetaires is close from where my parents live and they make beers that range from very decent to excellent, I'll be curious to read what you think of the doppelbock. If you have the chance to taste beers from 'Dieu du Ciel' or 'Simple Malt' (formerly Bieropholie), those are the two best microbreweries IMO that we have in Quebec.

Got back to being productive after 4 days of being sick from an epic food poisoning (I'm thinking salmonellosis). It's good to have appetite again after feeling like shit for a few days and there's some positive out of the experience, I lost 4 pounds without having to exercise!

Yeah, the Maiden shirts were very nice, but at 40$ I decided my money was better invested elsewhere. Sound quality sucked in Montreal too as expected, I wish I could go back in time to the early 80s and see Maiden perform in a small English pub. I forgot to mention it in my previous post, but I wasn't thrilled at all with DT setlist. I used to be a pretty big fan, but they've lost me with the more commercial "heavy" sound they have on their last 3 albums. The crowd didn't seem to be into it very much except for the first 2-3 rows, it was like DT were trying to impress people with super long technical solos, but Maiden fans didn't buy it. I had a big smile on my face when they played 'Pull me under' at the end of their set though.

Dinny, you already skipped the JH16, are you getting weak or what?

Nice recap, I fall in categories 6-7. I do like this thread now, though.

Iron Maiden in Montreal yesterday. Awesome show as always, I think there's no such thing as a bad Maiden performance anyway, for me it's the musical equivalent of comfort food. I really liked that they played mostly songs from their last three albums, the selections from Brave New World were especially awesome live (Wickerman, Ghost of Navigator, Blood Brothers, Brave New World). A few classics to put the crowd on fire too, and Bruce spoke in French for most of the show! Great night definitely.

Count me out if Joe Grado's not there.

Got any recommendations for a good case? The Apple case is out of stock everywhere, there's the Acase on amazon which looks neat, but they don't ship to Canada. I'm looking for a case/stand hybrid.

I got the job I applied for last week, 4 months internship starting in September. Nice, good stuff. Is the alcohol vapor getting to your head after many hours working in there?
