  1. Thanks Colin. The nearest Wal-Mart is 45 minutes away. So it's not too instantaneous. Still, I'm heading that direct tomorrow for lunch with Augsburger and Zippy. Hmm.
  2. OK, my friend sent back a response. Here it is:
  3. Hey Grahame, Thanks for the recos. Cox does have a supported list: http://ww2.cox.com/residential/orangecounty/support/tv/article.cox?articleId=b2ec95d0-7ef9-11df-5590-000000000000. The SB6121 is on the list. I'm going to Costco tomorrow anyway so will check for a modem there. If they don't have anything appropriate, I'll probably order the SB6121 from Amazon.
  4. I have a cable modem that has the feature of a "land line" phone. I'm not using the phone and am tired of paying for it. I can cancel the feature but then have to supply my own cable modem. I plan on buying a modem that supports Docsis 3. Can anybody recommend for or against any particular brands or models? Thanks in advance for your advice.
  5. We'll see. I haven't heard back from them yet. From doing a google search, this wood is either "Bee wood" or Manikara. Edit: Just got an email from my friend. He and his wife will "puzzle it out". For me, the problem more was deciphering the hand-written words (i.e. determine the letters of the word). They'll be able to do that.
  6. Speaking Quebecois won't help. The note isn't in French, it's in Belge!
  7. Marc, I could give it a try. If I can't understand it, I'll send to my friend in France. He and his wife (she's French) won't have any trouble with it.
  8. Happy Birthday, Naaman. :prettyprincess: Have a great one!
  9. That's pretty cool. I see that they took the necessary photographs on a nice summer day.
  10. My sincerest condolences, Dan. No matter how long we have them, it's not long enough. RIP Heidi.
  11. Happy Birthday, Dan. Have a great one! :prettyprincess:

  17. Happy Birthday, Stephen. :prettyprincess: Have a great year!
  18. If you are going to do more opamp swapping, you might see about putting a socket in rather than solder the new one.
  19. Sounds really good, Shelly. I have to report what I'm not eating. I bought a rib eye steak from TJ's yesterday. It smelled really bad when I opened the packaging tonight. I went ahead and grilled it in the hope it would get better. It didn't. So I'm eating grilled potatoes, jalapenos and green beans.
  20. Congrats, Justin.
  21. Happy Birthday, Jeff! :prettyprincess:

  24. Happy Birthday, Mike :dan: Have a great year.
  25. A quick report back. I've used both new pans, the small one to fry eggs and the large one for an omelet. In both cases I used a little butter to coat the pan. In both cases the eggs cooked nicely and there was absolutely no sticking. They are a large improvement over the non-stick pan they replaced. I'm happy with their performance. I've done some research and it does appear that these pans do contain PTFE. So I'm only going to use them for low to medium heat cooking. I'll keep my old Calphalon pans for the high heat stuff. Non-stick won't be needed there anyway.
