I'm surprised that she showed up at all. Maybe it was another chance to do some more hurt. (

According to my sister, yes. I would have guessed only DD myself. While my niece complains about them being so large, she certainly knows how to use them. Yes, she's 23 now and not a child. The doctor says that he doesn't think she'll need surgery. However, he also thinks that the crash momentarily dislocated her patella, so we'll see.

Update on my niece. Apparently her ankle break is with the fibula. She has a tibial plateau fracture. She may have a fractured patella. There is some damage to the meniscus. The good news is that the orthopedic doctor decided to leave her in a walking boot and use an "upgraded" device to immobilize her knee. So she has no cast and can remove what she has to clean her leg, etc. She'll start physical therapy relatively soon, but I can't remember the actual time. It's less that the 3 months she'd have to wait if she were in a full-leg cast. There's other good news. She destroyed the fork on her brand new Bianchi. Her boy friend could easily fix it but the Bianchi sales rep will replace her bike and the repaired bike will become a demo. I guess it doesn't hurt to be tall, athletic and reasonable good looking. Also, her DDD's might have played a part.

If this were Newegg, you might be getting a wall mount.

Happy Birthday, Jeffy. :prettyprincess: You gave yourself a great gift!

Congrats, Shelly.

Antonio and Vicky, three months sounds long to me too. However, it's both for the tibia and broken ankle. I have no details as to the severity of either breaks.

My niece got the results of her MRI. It's a good news, bad news result. The good news is that her patella is fine. The bad news is that her tibia is broken just below the knee. So it looks like she'll be in a full leg cast for 3 months. At least her spirits are high.

Hey, there are 10 bikes being offered. Sounds like a golden opportunity for a HC group buy!

Just talked to my sister and my niece isn't quite as unscathed as I thought. She definitely has a broken ankle and possibly a broken patella. To go with those, she has beaucoup road rash on her butt and back. Apparently she was riding down a hill at 35 mph, hit a bump and lost control.

For those who were disappoint by the recent Newegg NAS "deal", maybe this would be interesting. Amazon has a 1 day deal on a 5-bay Drobo 5N.

Shelly, if you really want a lot of visitors, you should talk about the attractive lady walking in front of the Ginger Avenger. It would be best if you made something up like she is available and digs men with large ... headphones.

Both the bridge and lower Manhattan photos are phenomenal, Ari. I'm envious of your talent. -
Justin, if you don't want to know, why are you asking?

Thanks for the good wishes for my niece. I'll call her later today to see how she's doing but it seems she's doing OK judging by her Facebook post:

Belated Happy Birthday, guys. :prettyprincess: I hope that each of you had a great one.

I just got a call from my sister. My niece just had her first big fall on her bike. I didn't get any details except that she was going about 30 mph when it happened. She hit her head pretty hard. Fortunately she was wearing a helmet. She doesn't appear to have a concussion or any broken bones, but she does have a lot of road rash. She was riding with her lbs owner boy friend and, not too surprisingly, knew what to do. I hope that she's covered for the ambulance ride.

More dual sport riding.

"Oversized"! Sounds perfect for Steve.

Last Tuesday: Had a nice dual sport ride in the mountains behind and to the west of Santa Barbara. Here are pics at the top of the trail: Looking south toward the ocean. Yes the coast runs east-west here. Gate is closed so we can't go any further. This is my friend John Chase and his bike. My "Rebel" is in the foreground. The road back down (looking north). The road back down continuing to the south. All in all it was a pretty nice ride. I'm still not a good dirt riding but I am improving.

Hoping all sickies get well very soon.

Odd Problem With MS Word
guzziguy replied to Augsburger's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
Greg, is this one MS file or multiple files? If it's one, maybe you accidentally deleted it. Either way, have you checked the trash to see if it's there? If this fails, search your machine for the file, you may find it in an unexpected place. Edit: If both of these fail to find it, Nate's advice becomes really valuable. -

I don't know what Nikon's policy is here, but I know that many states have laws that state only proof of purchase is necessary. California is one of them. Maybe Florida is too. -
Congrats, Lloyd. Jacob, the bread looks delicious.
