  1. It looks like the snow saved you some arborist money. Sorry for the extra work now though.
  2. Happy Birthday, Bryan. :prettyprincess: Have a great one!
  3. Good luck with the change. Hope the move goes as painlessly as possible.
  4. Just wanted to make sure that you knew.
  5. Come on, Iain, we know that you love life in the frozen tundra.
  6. Chris, note that minivans tend to fare poorly in the new "small overlap" test. Google "minivans fare poorly collision test" for more info. Apparently, the Honda Odyssey fares best, yet it only received a "good" rating: "The Honda Odyssey, which was tested in 2013, received the highest rating of any minivan, a Good, on the small-overlap test."
  7. Happy Birthday! :prettyprincess:
  8. Happy Birthday, Jeff! :prettyprincess:
  9. Happy Birthday! :prettyprincess: Glad that you enjoyed it.
  10. I especially like how Mr. Snake-oil plays the mil-spec card.
  11. RIP Ken Takakura.

  15. Yeah. Tastes like chicken.
  16. Maybe we could set up a Head Case booth. That would be fun.
  17. REI is having a big sale now. There might me lots of interesting finds.
  18. I'm guessing that she's now on the naughty list?
  19. Happy Birthday, Dinny. :prettyprincess: Have a great one!
  20. The ingredients look to be fine. The description appears to be amiss.
  21. Indeed, very nice.
  22. Congrats to D'Artag.., er Lance.
  23. You have lots of friends in the US. I suspect that you could talk one of them into buying them for and shipping them to you.
  24. Doug, I have a kit to build the Doc Bottlehead Straight-8 speakers. I'd have to check to verify that all the pieces are still there. I did put a dimple in one tweeter with my thumb but believe there are ways to pull it out. I'd be happy to send it to you if you pay the cost of shipping. It's damn heavy so shipping won't be cheap, but it would be a lot less than $3K. I also have some enclosures built and would be happy to send them too, but shipping would be really expensive for them. They are made of HDF (heavy density fiberboard) and weigh a ton. The enclosures have rosewood trim and eucalyptus veneer, but the veneer has dried and would, imo, need to be removed and replaced.
  25. I understand. My shelves will be 2 to 2 1/8" in thickness and 29" by 19" in area. The legs will be about 2.5" square. The stand is made from 6/4 S2S white oak (1.5" surfaced two sides). I don't think that lack of sturdiness will be an issue. My class is done. I'll take it again next session, which starts in mid-January. I have to wait until then to have the proper tools to continue. That gives me a lot of time to change my mind on the design.
