  1. Jacob, you anal? That's hard to believe.
  2. Happy Birthday, Al. :prettyprincess: Have a great one!
  3. Happy Birthday, Colin! :prettyprincess: Darn, I thought I had already done this. Have a fun time in Dallas.
  4. Wonderful news, Peter.
  5. I never saw the box for matching. I use Firefox with the NoScript add-on. I allowed tubestore.com but not everything needed to see the box. After I allowed "everything on the page" then I could see it, but it was too late. I hate it when pages use other websites to implement dynamic parts on their page. He definitely seems to know his stuff and, from reading his site, likes the tubes I had already ordered. His price is higher than I paid.
  6. Marc, I checked out Upscale Audio's web site and found that all their EL84 tubes are much more pricey than I want to pay. Antonio, thanks for the JJ recommendation. I couldn't find any mention of matching on the Tube Depot site so I googled for a matched octet of JJ EL84 tubes and found this: NIB Matched Octet JJ EL84 Amplifier Power Tubes The seller has great feedback and the price is as good as anything I found, so I ordered an octet. I'll let everybody know how much I like them.
  7. Happy Birthday, Dr. Wood. :prettyprincess: Hope it's a great one! I'm glad you've been back recently.
  8. Tough weekend. Louis Jourdan on Saturday and Lesley Gore today. RIP both of you, two more great entertainers lost.
  9. Happy Birthday! :prettyprincess:
  10. Happy Birthday, Ed! :prettyprincess:
  11. You're definitely not in Kansas, er England any more.
  12. It's time to replace the output tubes on my Anthem Integrated 1 amp. I bought it used in 1997 and it came with Sovtek EL84 output tubes. I need 2 matched quartets or, even better, a matched octet. So this means current production tubes. Could you please recommend current production EL84 (6BQ5) tubes and a seller who can provide the matching. Thanks in advance for your advice.
  13. It means that if you ever break the code of silence, Birgir will find you and make drink red vodka until you pass out. You'll awaken in a women's lavatory.
  14. Happy Birthday, Stephen. :prettyprincess: Hope everything is going great for you!
  15. Sorry you are having so much snow, Nate.
  16. BestBuy has that model on sale for $379.99 at the moment. You can pick it up for free at a store or have it delivered for an additional $69.99.
  17. Newegg customer support wants to verify that you can see the TV from all angles.
  18. Happy Birthday, Jeff. :prettyprincess: I hope that it's been great and that the evening will be even better!
  19. RIP Joe.
  20. You're a skier and probably don't need to be told this, but be sure to put sunscreen on the bottom of your nose. UV is reflected by the snow and I've seen people with nasty sun burns there after skiing all day in bright sunlight.
  21. Jacob made them an offer that they couldn't refuse. I believed that a shovel was part of the offer.
  22. Care package from Jacob. Muchos thanks!
  23. If the sink is too close, just install with short wood screws or with the piece of hardware (forgot what it's called) that has the appropriate bolt threads on one end and wood screw threads on the other.
  24. I normally use Firefox. It also normally gives a pop-up menu with that option among several others. However, when browsing HC, right-click does the same thing on images that left-click does, i.e. bring up the image in a pop-up. I just tried Chrome and right-click with it brings up the pop-up menu. Maybe I have a weird setting in Firefox, though HC is the only site where I've had this peculiar behavior.
