Favorite Decade For Music
Ah, the late 70's, when Disco was king! I think we all try to forget about that.

There's only one HF princess, and that's Vicki.

You wore it for all of 30 minutes and got to keep the stand. You have an interesting view of what's fair. You're not a closet Republican are you? Sorry, no tutus. It's really in your best interest. Stacy's sense of humor is just fine. She'd think it's funny too.

A very short while I see!

I keep trying, but nobody pays any attention. After buying the headphones, no cash for a stand if I want to stay happily married.

But I have these nice, new headphones that need a nice, new stand!

CA tube sale
Just narrowing it down better. Actually, with the way San Jose is growing, it may annex SFO some day.

CA tube sale
Actually it's in Silicon Valley.

Does it fit in airline carryon by any chance?

CA tube sale
California is kind of a big state. So to narrow this down, it's SFO bay area.

Where to?
Fungi had an opera for awhile. I listened to it at one of our mini-meets with my K340s. I didn't like the SQ very much and didn't feel that the opera did a good job of driving K340. The sound was thin and one dimensional. It didn't have the height and depth in the soundstage that I get with my amp. Of course, the K340 is a very hard headphone to drive. Anyway, Hiroshi can comment more on the opera than I can.

The Live Music Thread
There's one fly in the ointment regarding CanJam timing. We have to miss John Fogerty, who is playing locally that weekend. At least we'll be able to see Celtic Women later in May.

Cisco closing up shop. Buy Acoustech KG Aja Now
Me too! Now I just have to build a stand so I can run my turntable again. Hopefully this will help motivate me to do so. (

Gem Dandy LP cleaner
Mapleshade CDs are quite reasonably priced and well recorded. The trick is to find performances that you like. I've been lucky, I've bought 5 or 6 Mapleshade CDs and only have 1 stinker. Also, as mentioned above, Mapleshade amp stands appear to be quite nice and are much cheaper than competitive products I've seen. I agree that the LP steam cleaner is overpriced. So their prices are a mixed bag.

What are you EATING right now?
Pepper jack and grilled French-style green bean omelet with some rosemary grilled potatoes on the side, both with Cholula sauce. Yum.

What the hell should I buy?
The current PS-1 vs. HP-1000 prices almost certainly reflect the difference in supply. The demand seems to be quite high for both.

What the hell should I buy?
But they don't sound like Grados. Thank goodness for that!

Woot I won the lottery
They should have used "Sony". Then it would be a lot more believable.

It's Duggeh's Birthday!

New ICs.
I've been listening to my SUCKITALO adapter for several days now. It's very transparent. The difference is night and day. Without the SUCKITALO, I don't hear anything!

Headfive or soha?
The Headfive is warmish, but I agree with gtp that it probably won't be better than your Pimeta. As I see it, the main reason to go to the Headfive in your case would be to get crossfeed. If you don't really want that, it's probably a lateral move. Of course, it's best if you can actually compare them and decide for yourself.

It's Duggeh's Birthday!
Happy Gin Day here too. Of course, you're probably in a drunken, snoring sleep by now.
