You have my sympathy. I think that you will have to have new ownership before things really get fixed. It's a shame what has happened to that franchise in the last 10 years or so.
  2. Do you know someone on APS that has a pair of RS-1s? I don't and have no plans to acquire any. I'm looking for something else though and it's definitely not an SA5000!
  3. It just dawned on me that this might actually be oicdn. He shows the same lack of intelligence and imagination both in playing the game and dealing with issues.

Bitter? Not at all. Houston has been playing great and showing wonderful team chemistry. Chemistry is always underrated. They could go all the way with it. Let me guess. You're a Knick fan. Or used to be anyway. Until this year, Mitch has been an extremely mediocre GM. Suddenly he's a genius. He has had a very good 9 months.

You're about 21 games late with this warning.
  7. I was going to suggest the same thing. He did say he was drinking water though.
  8. These days I prefer to do OOP in Java. When I need performance, I'd go with C over C++ any day. C++ is so user unfriendly. I learned it well enough to do a major project in it once. Then I proceeded to forget it as quickly as possible.

Sprained ankle, xrays negative. We'll see how bad it is.
  10. C++ is the devil's programming language. It's enough to make anybodies eyes glaze over. :kitty:
  11. I listened to a pair of SA5000s driven by Voltron's amp at MOA. My impressions of them pretty much mirrors those of Aerius. If Voltron's amp can't make them sound good, they must really be bad!
  12. Interesting. Could you please ask Roam to join HC? He's one of a handful of people on HF that seems to actually know what he is talking about when it comes to amplifier design. Not that I'd know, I'm not in the handful. He would fit in well here.
  13. I didn't know that your name is Aaron. I was thinking of this Aaron. An image of him in a mullet with a half open shirt and parachute pants is what I saw in my mind.
  14. Unfortunately, I only get the first page no matter which URL I use to get there.
  15. As opposed to the other disturbing and confusing times? BTW, how come Aaron hasn't replied? As soon as I saw the thread title, an image of him in parachute pants popped into my head. He's a natural for them. Aaron, where are you?
  16. No parachute pants for me though I had several pairs of bell bottom jeans. Neither of these are even close to being in the same silliness league as today's "wear your pants around your knees" style. I say "style" for lack of a better word.

    Bald is beautiful, eh?
  18. My wife just bought $400 worth of food from personalgourmet.net. Has anybody ever heard of them? They were doing door to door sales in our neighborhood. At least they seem to be real and we have the food. It was probably overpriced but ... Now our freezer is full.
  19. I would also assume that any commercial version would have non-mercury tube rectification, not that I know anything though.
  20. After listening to them at MOA, I think that you'll be happy with them.
  21. Yep, they're not exactly Eco-friendly.
  22. It looks great, not the typical DIY job. More importantly, it sounds better than it looks!
  23. There are pictures all over the MOA impressions thread on HF. Here are some from the thread to whet your appetite:

I would think that the hard place to shave for women isn't their legs, it's under their arms. The arm pits have all the same problems as the face and is even more sensitive. One of the many biological reasons that I'm glad I'm male.
  25. I can't help but compare this to Frank Cooter's amp, which may someday be available. The cost would be about the same. It would be very hard to beat Frank's amp's sound and aesthetically, there's no comparison. Frank's amp walks all over it. Even so, I look forward to listening (and maybe even seeing ) this amp at CJ.
