  1. I just found this Hitachi. It has all the features I like on my Firestorm plus it has lithium ion batteries, and is the same price as 2 batteries and a charger would be. Any reason I shouldn't just pull the trigger on this? Edit: Shipping would be $14.59, so unless a red flag appears soon, I'm going for it.
  2. Veal. Love the taste, but can't abide how the animals are treated to make it veal. I decided several years ago to strike veal from my diet and won't voluntarily eat it. About the only case where I would knowingly eat it (besides starvation) is to avoid offending somebody.
  3. I have an older B&D 14.4V Fire Storm cordless drill. This drill has 2 speed ranges and a wide range of torque settings. i really like it except for one minor problem. after many years of light use, i tried to use it only to find that both batteries are toast and that the charger puts out nothing. A quick search of the web shows that this is not an uncommon problem with these batteries and charger. I searched the web again and it looks like 2 replacement batteries and a charger would be at least $80. It occurs to me that I might be able to get an entire drill kit for not much more than that. So can anybody recommend a drill kit with similar features in the $80 to $140 range? I'm a fairly light user so not need a heavy duty monster. I would like something that is more reliable than the B&D has been. Thanks in advance for your responses.

It's obviously that trouble maker Nate causing the majority of the problems.

    Custom IEM's

Maybe I don't understand what you mean by super low profile, but my Westone UM2s have such a low profile that I can comfortably lay the side of my head down on a pillow. I haven't tried them with a helmet yet, but I think that they would be fine. If you haven't already, you might want to try them.

You're an embedded software engineer. What do you know about science?
  7. Why? This is not a new idea. The fixed set is for use with a preamp or integrated amp. The variable output allows the CD player to be plugged directly into an amp. In that case, it acts as its own preamp.
  8. He's either in analog bliss or in children hell.
  9. Maybe it was due to something else altogether?
  10. Replacement roller brush and drive belt for our upright vacuum. Whoopee.
  11. "Wings over the Gulf" on the Military Channel.
  12. FIFY. Now everybody can see Ray's brilliance with the SR-71A. When all other power is out, you can continue to listen to music by replacing every day 9V batteries. It's RSA's response to global warming. Seriously, sorry to hear about your power issues Todd. Good luck and hang in there.
  13. Who's the counsel here, you or Nate?
  14. Or you can buy some Sarn "Clearus" cables. These are the first invisible cables on the market. You can have the great warm neutral Sarn sound and yet not have cable clutter.
  15. I hope that your doctor warned you of one of the major side effects of Vicodin. Start adding lots of fiber to your diet now, if you haven't already done so. Be ready for the need to take a bulk type laxative in the near future. A couple of years ago I broke 6 ribs in a motorcycle crash. Nobody warned me. Let's just say that I really wished someone would have.
  16. I'm guessing that they let him have his way so that they don't have to hear him laugh his evil laugh.
  17. Happy Birthday Deepak!
  18. Indeed you did! Oops, you forgot to strike out the "sound awesome" part.
  19. She does. They make great cat toys.
  20. You were in eastern Mass. It was ok to run them over.
  21. It's in LA. The date isn't set yet but I'm guessing sometime in the spring. The planning committee will let us know when the date has been chosen. I live in Santa Barbara, which is about 1.5 hours (or more, depending on traffic) up the coast from the meet area. My wife and I will stay at the meet hotel 2 or 3 nights. Other than those nights, you're welcome to stay with us before and/or after the meet. You just can't mind cats and parrots as we have 3 and 4 of them respectively.
  22. Don't forget that she or somebody else needs to say "indeed".
  23. Don't worry. I only make them to those who I want to accept them. I do have to check with the Boss, but I don't think that there is any chance of a problem there. She spent a summer in Spain and her Spanish is not bad. I'm sure that she'd love to meet you and would relish the chance to practice speaking Spanish.
  24. Ooh, I like it.
  25. Sounds like it's time for yet another custom title!
