  1. You should definitely bring him along. After he starts saying how good they are, you can start saying DEW EET to him. Then you could buy them from him in 6 months when he sells them. To really improve your chances of getting them cheap, you should fly Mike in for the listen too. If John won't buy them Mike probably will. Then you have the same scenario. Either way, you'd save a lot of money.
  2. And the pico isn't balanced. If you are going to spend the money for a balanced system, don't stint on the source. Get a good balanced source too.
  3. Considering the Alaskan method of reducing remodel costs, I would think that they'd be very affordable.
  4. Al wishes that was the case. Actually it's much more embarrassing, money out the wazoo!
  5. Are you sure? Google turned up with Sideshow 2020 Darla - Yahoo! Shopping
  6. I like classic rock n' roll. Most of this new music doesn't do it for me.
  7. God grant me patience. And I mean right now!

I just tried the "Qables Premier View" and both columns of ads go away. Yay! I suspect that you do have to be a contributor for it to work.

Thanks Antonio. I was pretty sure that when it originally came out you had to be a contributor, but my memory isn't so hot these days and I definitely could have misremembered.

It's been there a while. You have to be a contributor to have this ability.
  12. Cleaned 3 bird cages. Still doing laundry. Fun fun! The up side is that I'm going to reward myself with a steak and lots of Telegraph Brewing Co. White Ale after I recover.
  13. Why should a marathon be different that everything else? Congrats on finishing the marathon. Your wife would beat me by days.
  14. Happy Birthday.
  15. They're going to shoot the next hurricane that comes through.
  16. Yes. Please note that I carefully avoided any comments about design. If Ray can get 10x markup, then more power to him. I don't understand it, but then I don't have to.
  17. I think that this is where Ray shines compared to the other amp makers, with Jan possibly being an exception. He does a better job of marketing and manufacturing his amps. He builds up interest at the right time and then is prepared to ship product immediately after it's officially announced for release. He also has a coherent product line, at least until recently. I think that he's overloaded the portable side of his line. Only time will tell though. I have to believe that he's going to retire some of the older portable models, but what do I know.
  18. I would recommend getting an adapter instead. That way you can listen both ways and it's cheaper than a retermination. Plus it's still balanced and easier to sell if you decide to later sell it. I own and highly recommend the Sialo adapter. Note: I saw that Nate later suggested an adapter too. Shill!
  19. Congrats Steve! I hope that you enjoy them.
  20. Happy Birthday!

    Deals

I was in San Jose Tuesday and Wednesday. While I was there, I dropped my Helimot just to look around and mostly to kill time. Helimot recently discontinued the Stadler line because it was too expensive with the declining dollar. As a result, they are closing out what they have left. I bought a Limit jacket for $179. These originally listed in the $500 range. For those motorcyclists who don't know about Stadler, they make nice (and expensive) gear. They make a lot of the gear BMW sells. Apparently German police also wear Stadler gear. The jacket is extremely well made, with a gortex lining and a removable liner. The only downsides to this jacket are: 1. It's really oriented to cooler weather and has no vents. 2. Being European made, the zippers are reversed from what an American is used to. In other words, the slide mechanism is on the left rather than the right. If you could use a new, all weather jacket and neither of these problems are an issue for you, it would be difficult to find a better value than these jackets.
  22. You started things in that direction. Let's just go back to my post before that one.
  23. Actually, it involves bicycles. Velogreg would be in charge.
