I'd say that the Qualia is the most polarizing high-end headphone around. People either love it or hate it. It's definitely risky to buy a pair without listening first. BTW, what amplifier and source are you going to use with them? It's pretty much a waste of money unless the quality of the source and amp match the Qualias.

I bought jp#s' HP2 headphones. Sold my Darths and MS-1s. Amp-wise, I bought some new tubes. For the new year, I plan to set my speaker system back up. Part of this will be a new stand so I can finally set up my analog system. Then I'll be able to play my old albums and the new ones I've recently bought.

If the disc you are planning to get is going to be a long time, why don't you get me something else for the moment and, when you do get the other disc, we can do another disc exchange. I don't know them. But it looks to me as they spent more time and money on the aesthetics of the box than on R&D. While I like a nice enclosure, that's not where the emphasis should be. YMMV.

Absolutely. Rudi is Bargir's favorite amp designer/builder and Rudistors are his favorite amps. To prove my point, he's building a Rudi design now.
