  1. Quilting needle and enough fabric for a storage bag in which to store a sleeping quilt.
  2. So you'd finally saved up enough for that Hyosung you've had your eye on, eh?
  3. Good job. We now have 2 legitimate nominees: Nate - n_maher Dan - grawk Jacob - EdipisReks Jack - postjack The choices are all good. Keep them coming.
  4. I'll bet Duggeh is now twitching so much he can barely walk.
  5. How about tkam's mom? For the same reason.
  6. That's what all the deserving people say. Seriously though, if we only have one nomination my work will be really easy. Maybe we can find several more worthy candidates?
  7. After paying a giant vet bill before NY Eve, I opted for the cheap fix and bought a replacement carafe. We'll see how long it lasts. I will be careful with it. Thanks for all of your suggestions.
  8. At least he admitted what he had done. Let he who has never done something boneheaded cast the first stone.
  9. Bag's Groove CD from Border's. They are currently having a 30% off sale of all CDs and DVDs. Blue Moods Heard this playing at a friend's house on NY Eve. Liked the music but the system wasn't enough to reveal the quality of the recording. Ordered from CD Universe.
  10. That's good! Either way, Thor can help out if Jacob ever gets backed up.
  11. So you have a honking big hammer, eh?
  12. Happy Birthday!
  13. I'm not working and have plenty of time so I'll be happy to take it on. Besides, that way I get to count the votes. Nominees should note that last fact.
  14. I don't think so, but I wouldn't generalize about it. It's not a big reason I'm here. As others have pointed out, the moderation is pretty good there. The biggest problems with it that I see are mostly due to the large size of HF. The passive moderation is all that can be done, but it leads to problems. The fact that moderation is often opaque is a problem I'd like to see go away, but it probably never will. I'm here because I like the feeling of community and the much higher S/N.
  15. Thanks, this looks like a good one. Unfortunately, you can't buy it on line and there is not an IKEA anywhere near me. Bodum does make a metal french press but it's fairly expensive. I'll keep looking.
  16. Maybe you'd have better luck if you dug in Jacob's basement.
  17. It's obvious that you haven't heard about Vicki's patients. All of their hair is public.
  18. Went to a friend's house to work on assembling my Ray-Way Sleeping Quilt kit. He's a professional when it comes to sewing and found the instructions pretty amusing. Then "we" started to put it together. He got it about 2/3 done in 2 hours. It would take me many, many hours to do.
  19. Happy Birthday guys. You get to have twice as big a hangover as the rest of us.

You mean besides Tyll and Naaman?
  21. Shouldn't it be when he pays for an item? Has he paid for this yet? If not, he only has about 8.5 hours to do so.

Stacy will be there, at least for the partying part. She couldn't care less about HP equipment. One thing we can do to make it less of a sausage fest is to start a fund to buy Indra and her boyfriend airplane tickets.
  23. Happy Birthday Jacob. Have a great one.

    CanJam 2009

CanJam 08 was great! But as I remember, all the Texas members dropped out and didn't come. Hmm, wonder if that is why it was so great? Hopefully some of them will come to CanJam 09 and we'll find out.
  25. I'm surprised that you can stay awake long enough to post.
