  1. My condolences to you and your family, CJ.
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. Heh! You want all DACs.
  4. I talked about radioactive treatment for our cat with our vet. She said that she often sees kidney problems later in cats that get it. This is hardly scientific, but we decided not to go that direction. If our cat were younger, we would have explored that option more carefully.
  5. I think looking around for a new vet sounds like a smart idea. He/she doesn't seem to be up on modern veterinarian products. Also, I forgot this in my last post. My sister uses this method to give her cat pills.
  6. “Times have changed. / Our kids are getting worse. / They don't obey their parents. / They just want to fart and curse. / Should we blame the government / or blame society? / Or we should we blame the images on TV? / Hell, no. / Blame Canada. / Blame Canada. / With all their hockey hullabaloo / and that bitch Anne Murray Beefy, too. / Blame Canada. / Blame Canada!"
  7. I'm truly sorry about your loss and sorry to have caused more pain. I thought about not posting it but decided that you needed to know about this form of medication. You might want to ask your vet about it. You might want to check out other vets if you have other pets or get another in the future.
  8. I understand. Our cat is the same way. The tapazole we have is in cream form. You put a dose from a syringe on your finger and then rub it inside the ear, where there is little hair. We have to dose him twice a day, but it's become like petting him and he doesn't fight it now.
  9. I'm sorry about that. It's always so hard to lose one's pets. Couldn't her hyperthyroid be controlled with Tapazole? Our oldest cat also has hyperthroidism but is doing well on Tapazole. We've stabilized his weight and, apparently, his metabolism.
  10. Happy K-B Birthday, Greg! :prettyprincess:
  11. Happy Birthday CJ.
  12. Earl who?
  13. Happy Birthday George! Have a good one. :prettyprincess:
  14. You're welcome Dinny. Though I doubt that a new HR cable will be anywhere near as affordable as a retermination/adapter combo.
  15. HeadRoom sells a balance cable. I don't know the price. Another approach is to balance the cable you have and buy/build an XLR -> SE adapter. I don't have a balanced system and use such an adapter to listen to the balanced HP-2 that I bought from JP#s.
  16. Of course, Schubert was a contemporary of Beethoven rather than pre-Beethoven. Good music though.
  17. Not bad. Shouldn't that be "deafening silence"?
  18. Come on. We want to hear your best ipodpj version of how they sound. The fanboys will be thicker around these than with the gd-audio Phoenix.
  19. Great pictures! One of my bigger regrets when I lived in France (for 20 months in the mid-80's) was not getting out to the Alsace region. These pictures remind me that I still need to do that.
  20. Could it be due to the smiley at the end of the attack? I mean how could you possibly even think of banning eugenius after all that he's contributed to HC?
  21. I understand that. And yes, I pretty much missed all 3am conversations at CanJam. I'll go away now so you guys can figure it out.
  22. I agree with everything you said except the bolded phrase. I don't understand using a generalization to try to explain why another generalization isn't valid.

What clinched the deal for the Russians is that Mbeke Jones, first secretary to the Nigerian Finance Minister, offered to pay them with a certified check for $2bn more than the agreed upon price. Russia only has to return $1bn in change from the check. They get to keep the remainder.
  24. Happy Birthday!
  25. I hear that it sounds moar killer when sprinkled with JMFD (Jena Magic Fairy Dust), which is made from a propriety combination of ground Unicorn horn and Dragon's teeth. On a serious note, how does the Cardas Tri-eutectic solder compare with the quad for ease of use? I'd prefer to delete the lead.
