  3. Have you considered a Lootin' Audio modified D7000? It's better than everything.
  4. You might as well keep it, Vicky. Even after it is "certified" to be safe, the value of SP products has fallen through the floor. This is not surprising. So it's unlikely that you could sell it for anything near what it's really worth. I'm going to keep mine until it dies. Then I'll look for something new (or used) to replace it.
  5. All of this is good advice. There is a good chance the kitten has worms or other illnesses. Take him to a vet for a checkup. Most cats choose their owners and it looks like this one has chosen you. Keep him inside (outside cats have a much shorter lifespan that indoor cats), take good care of him, give him lots of love and you will be rewarded with a loving, entertaining companion. P.S. You've greatly increased your karma points, don't toss them away.

    Fluke 179?

Hey, I ordered one first. I can't help it if all of you sheep had to do the same thing. Maybe we should buy one and ship it to ipodpj for review. After he states that it's the best DMM in existence, we'll all know we got good shit.
  7. No more Heartbreak Hotel, eh Elvis? Congrats.

    Fluke 179?

Oops, didn't read down far enough. I assumed it came without leads. Eventually I'll want clip-on leads so we'll see if they are included.

    Fluke 179?

Thanks for your suggestions. I bought the VC99 on Ebay that Marc suggested. I'll let you know how it works out. or Now I just need to find some leads for it. Google hear I come.

    Fluke 179?

Thanks. I'm sure one or more of these would work fine. Please tell me what features I need. My work contract is ending and I'll have some time for DIY play time. Here's a minimum of what I need: 1. Changeable leads 2. Volt meter 3. Amp meter 4. Ohm meter 5. Continuity tester. Considering I hope to eventually progress to doing tube amps, please suggest other features that I might need. I'd like to keep the cost under $100 for meter and leads, but I'm kind of like Vicky.

    Fluke 179?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I've decided that I need a better DMM that the little battery powered unit that I keep on my motorcycle. Fitz's line above describes exactly what I'd like, a basic meter with good leads. Would knowledgeable people please recommend such a DMM? Thanks.

  19. Getting quality music at work is what originally drove me to headphones. Are you sure that discreetly wearing earbuds wouldn't be acceptable. It would be hard for anybody to even see them as long as you only wore them in your office. Tell your boss that it's to override the bad music from the speaker.
  20. Just arrived today. Man ripping mono is fast!

  23. I haven't been on that model, but most Ducatis don't like to go slow and respond poorly to tentative inputs on the controls. That's one reason why I suggested you first get a learner's bike and then move on to something like a Ducati.
