I'm more interested in a Cigar City hunting expedition.

JB Weld will hold them longer than that.

I decided that I can't miss this event, even though it probably means I'll miss Canjam11. Of course, who knows if Canjam11 will even take place. I just used the last of my flight miles to purchase tickets. I'll be coming in on 12/9 and leaving on 12/13. See you all in December.

Shelly, Brent's too busy trying to restore his fear of sanity to pay any attention.

My view is that he used that as an excuse to attempt to demonstrate that he's an important, inside guy. What use is that information without knowing which chip it is? Also, if he's not supposed to tell, why tell anything? A better approach would have been to point out this thread to the manufacturer and have them answer it. Of course then we wouldn't know how important he is, which leads back to the question of the purpose of the post. Larry asks why he doesn't seem to fit in here. It's posts like these that are a large part of the problem. Most people at HC don't care if someone has inside information or not. It doesn't make one important here. I'm not trying to come down hard on Larry, just trying to give him an idea of his problem. He did ask recently so I hope that he really wants to know.

Larry, what was the purpose of your post? It gives absolutely zero useful information. Very little is more off putting than a "I know something you don't, but I can't tell you" post. Please save those for the other forum.

Have a great time guys. I checked prices from Santa Barbara and it's just too expensive for me at this time.

Grahame, she's seems to be enjoying the miking almost as much as you. Did you suggest meeting in private for a more intimate miking?

The Lone Ranger's Last Request The Lone Ranger was ambushed and captured by an enemy Indian War Party. The Indian Chief proclaims, "So, YOU are the great Lone Ranger" ... "In honor of the Harvest Festival, YOU will be executed in three days.." "Before I kill you, I grant you three requests" "What is your FIRST request?" The Lone Ranger responds "I'd like to speak to my horse." The Chief nods and Silver is brought Before the Lone Ranger who whispers in Silver's ear, and the horse gallops away. Later that evening, Silver returns with A beautiful blond woman on his back. As the Indian Chief watches, the blond enters the Lone Ranger's tent and spends the night. The next morning the Indian Chief admits he's impressed.. "You have a very fine and loyal horse", "But I will still kill you in two days." "What is your SECOND request?". The Lone Ranger again asks to speak to his horse. Silver is brought to him, and he again whispers in the horse's ear. As before, Silver takes off and disappears over the horizon. Later that evening, to the Chief's surprise, Silver again returns, this time with a voluptuous brunette, more attractive than the blond. She enters the Lone Rangers tent and spends the night. The following morning the Indian Chief is again impressed. "You are indeed a man of many talents, but I will still kill you tomorrow. What is your LAST request ?". The Lone Ranger responds, "I'd like to speak to my horse, .... Alone." The Chief is curious, but he agrees, and Silver is brought to The Lone Ranger's tent. Once they're alone, the Lone Ranger grabs Silver by both ears, looks him square in the eye and says, "READ MY LIPS!!!!" FOR... THE.... LAST... TIME... "BRING POSSE"

Sorry about your thin wallet.

Also, there's always a space at the bar and an empty table, there's no line and, most importantly, it's all free.

Well, duh. That's why most people don't do them. Hope you had a good run and feel OK.

I hope that people who get them really enjoy them. At $5K I don't really need them. -
Happy Birthday Marc! :prettyprincess: I'm sure your kids and wife treated you to a great birthday yesterday.

Shelly, I wasn't comparing hamburgers, though I have had better burgers at McD's that the 5 Guys burger I had last night. I was comparing french fries, where McD's really shines. Normal McD's french fries were better than the fries I had last night. I do agree that In-N-Out is better than 5 Guys unless the TO location is an anomaly.
-
Went to the new 5 Guys in Thousand Oaks last night. After hearing about them here, I was very interested in trying them out. I ordered a hamburger with lettuce, grilled onions, mustard and relish, and a small fries. I was very disappointed in the hamburger. You can only get them cooked well-done. The patties were dry and almost tasteless. The fries were much better, but not great. I'd take McD's fries over them any day. The TO location hasn't been open very long, so hopefully this is just a start-up problem and the food will improve to match the 5 Guys hype. They have a long way to go.

I'd rather have an "Unhear" button.
