  1. I agree, but we are not talking about the vast majority here. The audiologist we are talking about ignored Dan's complaint when it originally happened. All he had to do was take a quick look with his otoscope and he would have noticed a perforated eardrum. If he didn't have an otoscope, he had no business doing impressions where the first step is to verify that the ear canal and ear drum are clean. Actually, he was asking the MDs on the list, which I think is a much better idea than asking the audiologist who has already been negligent. Of course it's up to Dan.
  2. Just remember that the first thing is the audiologist's mind will be CYA and Dan's health will be someplace further down.
  3. I suspect that the audiologist will pay for you medical care to avoid a lawsuit.
  4. ^ What he said. This is the first NorCal meet I've missed in a while and I'm not happy about it. Take lots of pictures, Peter.

  14. You mean that the K&K is faster and holds the road better, but has limited interior space, no luggage space and is much costlier to insure as compared to the Foreplay?
  15. There's always the bottlehead.com Foreplay III linestage kit. I haven't heard the III, but the earlier versions sounded nice.

  22. I need a replacement Goldring D42 stylus. hifi4less.com sells them for much cheaper than I can get here in the US, even including shipping. Unfortunately they only sell in the UK. I was wondering if somebody in the UK would buy this for me and ship it here? Here is pertinent web page. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks.

I went to high school in San Bernardino and also went to UC Riverside, so I'm familiar with the area. Yes, Claremont is an oasis and pretty nice. The areas around it are not so nice. It's not as bad as USC though. Edit: Isn't it time to rename this thread "Ode to bacon"?
  24. Happy Birthday!

Looks good. Ah Claremont, a nice oasis in such a terrible desert.
