Oh I'm sorry I was looking at this scheme and I thought it was about that Opa. I guess it's a dead end.

Do you mean OPA541? Mouser has stock (OPA541AP) from TI. OPA541AP

I use 10K (Dynahi bal. and Dynalo MKII)

I'm sorry to rescue this old thread. I've seen some schemes in the Stax mafia circuit boards but I don´t know if this ampli step finally "production". The fact is that I would not mind doing one of these amps and maybe someone else is attracted to the proyect.

Maybe it would be a good time to explore less-known projects from Dr. Gilmore.

Although Stax bought thousands of semiconductors, its demand is not comparable to a real giants of the industry. It probably does not economically compensate to produce old sand only because a small manufacturer needs a few thousand devices. I doubt that Stax adopts a circuit that has not been designed by themselves. I suppose it's a question of being proud.

Happy Birthday Dusty!!!!!

The best thing you can do is a "provisional" assembly. You have very little space. I would rotate the amplifier pcb´s. Heatsinks with direction of the PSU/trafo

Not bad for a 5500$ amplifier

Thanks Helium I don´t buy in Digikey for shipping costs (I live in a corner of the world) Mouser is mainly where I usually buy the components and the STN9360 has been unavailable for a very long time. I bought 20 to have them for future projects and they are in BO since before summer. RS has a warehouse in Spain so I decided to buy some now. I prefer to have components and not use them before that need some and not have it.

I mean STN9360

Thanks Picaudio. I don´t need them at this time but I have decided to place an order in case I need them for another project. In Mouser the deliveries have been delayed constantly and it seems that they will not have inventory until next year ... if there is luck

Congrats Özgür!

Did I ever say that I hate this thread? ???

Good luck!!!!

It has to be awesome. I can´t imagine how it must be the roar of the propellers.

Thanks Dr. Gilmore.

Sorry for refloating this thread. I'm listening to my "SquareWave KG latest version" in SE configuration. (Thanks Dr. Gilmore) It works great and is very simple to assemble. I have regulated the BIAS @ 120mA without problems and could even raise it much more. I have used a 100K resistor to make the servo act as fast as possible and from the beginning the offset is 0 Vdc so I don't need wait for listening music. I matched all the transistors as best as possible but with the MJE200 and MJE201 it was impossible to find an identical pair. ? The next step is to install it in a box but I'm hesitating, Is it worth making a balanced version? Is there much difference between the SE vs. Balanced version? I have enough material and pcb´s to do this without problems but if this does not make sense, I'll leave it in SE configuration.
