I was thinking about this and I really do not have any favorites. I tend to use combinations that I think work very well, for example the KGST-L700, SRX-Lambda, BH / GG-007 … Carbon is my "precision measuring instrument"
Now I'm using the Megatron a lot for the valves but I really enjoy it with anyone.
I agree with Geoff.
Yes, I have a load box similar to this. I used 560R-300R-125R-75R-30R and I used Ohmite TCH35P resistors (35W) and a simple selector.
It is a very practical tool and easy to do.
Well, I have several amplifiers designed by members of this forum (Dr. Gilmore, Birgir, Jim, Kerry.... thanks guys). You can look up information in the DIY section.
All these amps contribute something but I like the 007 especially with the BH / GG ... but that's just my opinión.
I haven´t modified it yet. I like the sound and that's why I have not been in any hurry to cover the port. Possibly I'm missing something, yes ... but I think amplification is more critical.
The doubts about 007 are a classic.
After thinking about it a lot, having many doubts and talking it over and over again (thanks Antonio) I decided to buy an SZ3 because it seems that it sounds "similar" to the original and on the other hand, I did not like to buy an earphone with many years and that probably has had several owners.
I'm listening to single tracks by Raphael Ravenscroft.
I have been very impressed by "Forgiveness", the work of the choir is impressive with only a few notes of saxophone merging with the choir. Beautiful, simply beautiful and magical.
If you have 5 minutes to listen to this song ... I recommend it.
