Happy Birthday John!

Apparently Dario Pegoretti as well, August 23. You cyclists will probably recognize the name. Heart attack at age 62. RIP! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would think the bike shop should be able to face it, ensuring that they are parallel? Or don’t they do that anymore (I’m used to steel frames). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Uh, no it isn’t normal for bearings to feel gritty. Guy is a dumbass for even suggesting that! What kind of crankset!/BB is this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^ This. Plus the Neutrik blanking panels are for a known standard jack series. I don't know if there is a standard IEC hole size (it seems that most of mine are all over the map), but that might make it more difficult to find. I know a lot of the chinese vendors on ebay, etc. all sell cases with the IEC cutout (presumably to a standard size), so perhaps someone does make some.

As for an SE out, L+, R+ and gnd straight back to the power supply (not to the amp boards). Either use 2 conductors for the gnd, or a heavier wire (usually 24ga for signal, so maybe 20ga for the gnd). I wouldn't use an epsilon 12 with this, as it won't properly handle balanced signals. I'd use one of Kevin's balanced protection boards instead. 400mA sounds about right (don't recall exact figures, but it's probably here in the thread somewhere).

I presume those are LCD3s? You might do some searching for different pads (head-fi, though noisy, might give you some ideas).

Yes, RIP Claire! I just read more about her this morning and it brought me to tears. She must have been a lovely person! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On the mini SS Dynalo, to increase the gain a bit, would I want to raise the 25K some or lower the 5K? I would assume raise the 25K but just checking. From what I recall, the stock gain is 6 ((R feed / R in) + 1)? Going to an R feed of 39.2K would give 8.8 gain; 42.4K would give 9.4. Not sure I want to go up to 11 using 50K (49.9K). Also, would the compensation cap need to be changed? Is there a formula for calculating what that should be? Thanks!

Being from Sweden, shouldn't that be more like 12mm (well, 12.7mm) instead?

RIP John McCain. I didn't agree with him on a lot of issues, but I never questioned his patriotism nor his integrity. Qualities sadly lacking in today's clusterfuck.

Thanks. I’ll have to check them out. I found what I needed at fastener-express. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve seen many instances that the amount of lube used at the factory is what I would call light. Not that I ride new stuff though. I have a Campy BB still in service from 1973 that looks perfect... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That one was built for another member. I will have one for sale in the somewhat near future however. Looks just like it PM me for details.

I’ll be using Allen heads. The buildees have indicated that they are fine with non SS black oxide fasteners though. The 2 places I found the black SS in non-case quantities are Accugroup (UK) and fastener-express IIRC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ran it for about an hour last night listening. The case got warm/hottish but nothing I couldn’t hold my hand on for as long as I cared to. I didn’t shoot it with an IR gun to measure where the sinks were at though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
