  1. I think it is in parallel. IIRC 1.43M was a value that was suggested...
  2. AOT is "Adjust On Test" and is meant to tweak the negative rail output to match the positive.

I think we bought ours from Warehouse Sound or some such place out SanLuis Obispo, CA as well! Never liked the L100s though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^ Almost bought a pair of those back in the day. Bought the floor standing Infinity Monitors w/ the Walsh tweeter instead Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. #3 seed... behind Northerners and the dead
  6. Yes, been using Arrow for quite some time now when they have what I need. A bit maddening to see a somewhat small order split into several shipments, each in considerably oversized packages with too much packing and this even when everything is a “ships tomorrow from the US” item... 7. Check with this guy. Should be genuine. https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/swap-meet/335828-fs-nos-toshibe-2sk389bl-2sj109-bl.html
  8. Sorry, my apologies. I was trying to figure out how to use spoiler tags in tapatalk. I apologize one again; my bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Although this season is moving WAAY too fast, last night’s episode s8e3 did not disappoint! At least what I could see of it I’m going to miss this show when it ends, but have started watching it again from the beginning. I’ll be interested to see if the prequel gets going or not... hope so! Those sound interesting Jacob... I'll have to try to hear them sometime. Probably could have at Axpona had I known about them.

    So sorry Craig. RIP Cheese
  12. Ran across these guys on an alternative station here in Chicago last night while driving. Actors, a Vancouver band... me likey... rather '80s-iish
  13. Wow! A B24 (J?). How was it?
  14. UBAL board (unbalanced to balanced) for the front end.
  15. 1) You should be able to, but I don't have a sim to measure power dissipation in these. Since they are only used as drivers (and not as the outputs as in the SS Dynalo) I think you should be OK. I thought you said you had these? 2) Yes. The MJF is an isolated package, so you can bolt straight to the heatsink. It is rated at 36W vs. 50W for the MJE (with metal tab). I think they are the same die, just package difference.
  16. Those fuckers actually grab Kevin's gerbers... nice.
  17. I just checked, couldn't find them, and then remembered that I sold them to another user (anorphirith) about a year ago. They were v1.5 boards. Sorry! I do still have a pair of the originals (2004), but that would be single-ended and not SuSy. You might check with Steve (sbeylo) and see if he has any left over?
  18. Not sure on board versions, and will have to wait until I am home to check. Not sure that I would build an older version either, even with the parts. I presume the newer versions are also supersymmetry? The real old original versions weren’t really set up as balanced as they used (1) 2Sj109 and 2SK389 per channel (so 4 pair total for balanced), which essentially wasted 2 pair. I think I have a pair of boards at home that I won’t be using. I’ll check tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. I wasn't really in listening mode yesterday at Axpona, but did listen to both an Aeon and an Ether 2 from the GS-X mini, and it sounded good. I still didn't care for the Aeon but liked the Ether 2, and the GS-X mini seemed to drive it really well.
  21. The cap is probably the erroneous V+ to V-... Yours doesn't have all the magical components touted in the marketing hype?
  22. I could consider it. I don't have any cases, so would have to have one made. If you wanted the TKD version, I would have to get a board and the TKD pot as well. As well as all of the other parts (not a problem), so not cheap. What if you don't like it?
  23. No. Snake oil.
  24. Not being able to build one yourself is a problem. As for one already built, they rarely, if ever, come up for sale. Commercially, the closest thing(s) to it are Headamp Gilmore Lite or Justin's new Headamp GSX Mini Balanced. Note that the Gilmore Lite is single-ended only.
  25. Happy Birthday Tyler!
