  1. Ditto to both!
  2. Nate, Looks like you want the X Dual Voltage Selection rather than the S, so something like a Corcom PE0SXS000 rather than the PE0SSS000 you ordered. I see they also have an interconnect module which connects all the rear connections for you.
  3. Well, you can just send me the parts and then they won't bother you anymore
  4. Thanks for the offer. I've been building this thing for well over a year, collecting parts as I go along. The only thing I need for the amp boards are a matched set of output devices, but I have that covered (I think). The sigma is almost done, and I bought the tranny quite awhile ago, as well as the diyhifi case. Amp boards are all PRP/Roederstein resistors, pana FMs, etc. TKD pot, unless I decide to look at that Arduino thing or do a DACT or something. I wanted to keep this one rather simple though. I have to build one of my modified e12 boards with the mute switch/LED drivers like I did for my Dynalo, but I either have to have the PCB made or etch one. I am leaning towards using a Bulgin dual color switch, so I'll have to think about that (ε24/σ24 probably), and other minor items. I was amusing myself with my machinist fail last weekend in making the brackets for the PCBs to heatsinks, but they turned out serviceable and look pretty good I'll post a couple of chassis layouts for critique later. I'd like to put one amp PCB on each heatsink, but not sure if that is going to work out or not. Case is a Pesante Dissipante 2U 300mm with both silver and black 10mm faceplates... probably go with black for this one.
  5. Thanks. I always thought Veda was gsferrari only, and that sft had his own? At any rate, from what I recall, I thought sft's looked the best of the ones I had seen. Mine is going to be a 2ch in a single case (2U Pesante Dissipante with a single sigma22 psu and SumR encapsulated tranny), so no internal heatsinks, etc. I had seen amb's build, but since I am going single case, not applicable so much.
  6. Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but does anyone have internal pics of Dynahis? I'm working on layout for mine and was interested to see what others had done, particularly something like an sft-built one or similar. Even pics to show me how not to do it would be fine EDIT: I found some pics of Todd's... still would like some of one of sfts, particularly with the LCD display.
  7. Did you order the one I linked or another? I just placed an order for a couple of things. I notice they have really nice pricing on Bourns 3296W trimpots, and some 3299W values as well. Some stuff they aren't so good on though.
  8. FN-372-6-6Amp Power Entry Module / EMI Filter fused-Electronic Surplus Inc.Offering obsolete IC's, discretes, motors, relays, switches, pots, and much, much more! Always looking for your excess inventory. If you search on Schaffner, there are a couple of other variants as well.
  9. Good idea for a thread Nate. Re: the Schaffner FN370, I just ran across a surplus site with some of these (and they don't seem to have a min. order?). Doug: Any particular IEC with switch and fuse that you like? I seem to prefer 5x20mm fuses these days, but not a requirement.
  10. Search wasn't working for me earlier, and then started working somewhat but was missing some known hits (that I could find using google externally).
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. I recall that as well. I thought he said they made his sound better?
  13. On either of my Dynalos I've never had a problem with any cans I have at the stock gain of 11. Looking at my work dynalo powering K271s, the volume is set at 11 o'clock right now. With SR60s at home, it is about 9 o'clock, and those and my shure 840s are the most efficient phones I use (don't use the SR60s at all any more though). I don't have any iems, so I suppose those could be a problem at 11.
  14. Happy Birthday Mike!

  16. I'm sniping some starretts on ebay right now, but if I don't get one of those, I'll look into the Harbor Freight one. I do have one locally. I have that stepped drill bit set and it chatters like a bitch in my drill press. I already had an Irwin like the one on the left (no crap coating on it though), so I bought a set of Irwin from ebay and they work great. The HF are relegated to don't care duty now Just bought some 4-40, 6-32 and 8-32 bottom taps and one spiral from ebay. Great deal... 5 taps for $17 shipped. I had been looking at McMaster-Carr, MSC etc., but when you can get NOS ones for ~$2 each... heh. Oh, and I picked up some TapMagic from a local Grainger. First time I had been there and I'll have to go back. I had that weird feeling of kid in a candy store there. Wife will probably prefer if I stayed away.

Funny site that my brother sent a link to (for the bike one). I thought this one was good... Jeff and his magic spandex pants
  18. It appears that Soniccraft's sale is over.
  19. Soniccraft has a 20% sale going on right now (prp)
  20. Has anyone tried emailing Cardas to see if they could provide a technical drawing? And yes, if Headroom would share, that would be great. Tangent doesn't happen to have these in his Eagle stuff does he (can't remember the link).
  21. Happy Birthday Grahame!
  22. It looks like a standard LM317/337 supply; not the OPA548 supply for the original Gilmore Dynamic on headwize. Its probably fine, but not quite as clean I would think.
  23. I know I've seen it here before, but couldn't find it with a couple of searches. Someone told me to avoid the auto center punches at harbor freight and get one from ebay. I took a look on ebay, and see a number of $4.95 ones, plus some Starrett's that are going to go over $10 or $15. Any recommendations? Thanks, Chris
