You are right, but I was talking more in terms of newbies who might think that $100 is an expensive set of phones... and now I need what? An amp? $500? You're kidding, right?

I have a lot of respect for Pete's work, but I have a bit of a problem with "a starter amp" and "$495" in the same sentence? A Cmoy (or mini3, or Starving Student) is a great "starter" amp... Kinda like when you read a review in Stereophile of a $5K preamp and hear it described as "budget" gear Nice of you to make it available as a loaner to HC

Alright, like I said, I haven't listened to much (any?) of his stuff. BTW, I grew up during the '70s, and I don't really listen to ANY '70s music anymore. Wheels of Fire and Aqualung I might consider. The rest? Heh.

What is the size of the Dyna PSU board, particularly the heatsink side? If you have any spares, I might be interested in 1. My sigma22 on my dynahi runs pretty toasty with the onboard heatsinks.

Swollen leg is not a good sign on the clot department, but hopefully it will dissolve over time. Scott, that might be Bell's palsy that your dad is experiencing... I'm not a doctor, just had it once. At any rate, best wishes for your dad as well.

Ran out at lunch today and met Ryan to grab his Adcom CDP that I am building a pair of Colin's discrete I/V boards for. In doing so, I also got to meet Molly, his adorable baby girl. What a cutie! I think she thought I was a bit odd, and didn't have much to say Can't say I blame her... Also grabbed the chicago travel whore pair of LCD2s of Jon's that I will listen to briefly. I think it's about time Jon got to use his own pair of phones, so I won't keep them long.
