  1. Or head-fi. We like to keep the signal to noise ratio high here...
  2. Happy Birthday Dan!
  3. Happy Birthday Al! Hope you have a really good one!
  4. ^ Watched the first 2 episodes last night. Not bad, though the sister gets on my nerves. Will watch the rest.
  5. Happy Birthday Colin!
  6. Happy Birthday Steve! I hope you have a great one!
  7. Not Stax T2, but when I used to have a Counterpoint SA5.1 preamp which used 6922s, the favorites that I used in it were some Amperex PQ white label 6922s. I would guess these are a) hard to find and b) expensive as fuck now. I also used the EH 6922 gold pins and liked them as well, but not as good as the Amperex.
  8. Congrats Kerry! The amp looks great, and hopefully we'll be able to see some good reviews from CJ, though knowing that crowd, wading thru the tripe will be umm, fun. BTW, you mention "we" in talking about Eksonic...
  9. They work for me. Click on the file icon and a zip file can either be opened or downloaded.
  10. You might try reading the thread before asking questions...

So sorry on all fronts Jacob! RIP Dunhill.
  12. Started watching Suspicion on AppleTV. I'm enjoying it so far. 4 London Brits are accused of kidnapping a diplomat's son in NYC. Uma Thurman is in it, though haven't seen much of her yet. https://tv.apple.com/us/show/suspicion/umc.cmc.64yj71dmrdihhmo96h0lgjmw5?ctx_brand=tvs.sbd.4000&ign-itscg=MC_20000&ign-itsct=atvp_brand_omd&mttn3pid=Google AdWords&mttnagencyid=a5e&mttncc=US&mttnsiteid=143238&mttnsubad=OUS2019930_1-579300337890-c&mttnsubkw=134890699151__jKEV8OEz_&mttnsubplmnt=
  13. Been looking for something like these, but can never seem to find them on Mouser or Digikey. Something like the splice terminals used just below the transformer in this picture:
  14. Funny Nate as I did the same thing and watched the first 2-3 episodes. I didn't mind Cruise (and haven't read the books), but I think this take is probably better and sounds like it adheres to the book(s) aesthetic better. Mindless entertainment is a perfect description as well
  15. Happy Birthday Jeff!
  16. I've been watching this as well (my youngest son turned me on to it). It is a difficult watch, for the reasons stated previously. My wife hates it, so late night only for me. I'm most of the way thru the first season, and will keep watching it. I'd agree about the acting, particularly Rue.
  17. Very nice Kevin! I read your comments on HF as well. What does the plaque on top read?
  18. Also had a notice today regarding onsemi FQP3N30 being EOL. Don't think they are used in anything here, but are used over on diyaudio for the HPA1 and for one of Salas's shunts or buffers.
  19. I don't think I would tie to the chassis at this point. Chassis should be grounded via the PE of the IEC inlet connector. Any connection from the PCB ground to chassis should be done thru a ground loop breaker.
  20. Happy Birthday Mike! Hope you have a great one!
  21. Happy Birthday!
  22. Yeah, I have used the button head screws before, and may just do that with no inset. I was going to place the transformer in the vicinity of a chassis foot, so trying to think of ways that would allow me to place both where I wanted without worrying about interference. I had also thought of raising the transformer up 5mm or so off the case floor, but coming up with something to do that with had me stumped a bit. The transformer is about 4" in diameter. It is a 2U case so I have plenty of clearance height-wise.
  23. I have the panel(s), just using FPD to layout placement of shit. Slimline case for my Salas phono stage.
  24. Thanks Birgir and Marc. My main concern was countersinking something that large in a 3mm thick panel. You guys think that would hold alright? I guess if I have to, I could use a pan head and a washer if necessary. Just trying not to have anything hanging down.
