  3. Best of luck Doug! Look very cool...
  4. Might be more symmetrical as RSA The Protector and The Protector from the RSA... A schematic would be nice also
  5. Happy Birthday Bryan!
  6. What neutriks are these?
  7. Congrats on starting the new job Bryan!
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. I would have expected that an amp like the Zana would already be using the good amphenol mil-spec (did I really say that?) connectors at that price point. Didn't Mike (absorbine) have that same problem with his at a Chicago meet a few years ago?
  10. Had a Two Brothers Resistance, and then a Cain and Ebel last night at Two Brothers brewpub... tasty! Might have to go back
  11. Happy Birthday!

  13. As far as garish goes, those aren't too bad Chris. Hope the narrow works out for you.
  14. Could be interesting...
  15. The 10uA should be useful. Was setting up my test fixture (if you can call it that) last night, and going thru some previous measurements. I'm using 24uA Ib and Ic is ~12-15mA. 10mA is probably my Ic target in general. On a BL device, the 10uA would get me to between 3.5 and 7mA Ic which is probably close enough. I have no idea what the POS Centras or whatever that Harbor Freight DMM uses for hFe... probably much less than 10uA though.
  16. ^ Do they do engraved lettering (and filled) over this? And how closely would this match an otherwise anodized enclosure (or I guess painted in the case of the top and bottom panels). Starting to sound like just getting the aluminum panels from Modushop might be the way to go.
  17. Of course the case is black. All I really need done is painting or silkscreen or something to look like your rear panel. Not in a huge hurry, so I'll keep looking/thinking. Shipping from Modushop for a pair of panels is more than the panels themselves... damn Italian post.
  18. Thanks. I just looked and the aluminum back panel and a top panel would run 59 euro shipped. Not likely. I wonder how well FPE's anodized panels match up to these?
  19. true dat... was thinking of Ic
  20. I have a test fixture that I use with 2 DMMs and a bench supply now, but it is time consuming (I'm sure you both know all about that ). I just saw that this thing had at least 3 Ib ranges (10uA, 1mA and 10mA) and thought it might do the trick for all but critical matches. Probably something worth having anyhow, particularly given the price. Intended devices would be stuff like 2SA970/SC2240, 2SA1016 and it's complement, etc.
  21. Are these things good enough to measure (and match) small signal devices for hFe? Might need one for my Christmas list...
  22. Nice Tyll! I know many (most?) don't bother with THAT site anymore, but I was laffin my ass off seeing this thread: http://www.head-fi.org/t/540242/getting-called-out-for-not-wearing-the-beats 181 pages and counting... Also, WTF is "Beats Audio" that some of the craptops, etc. seem to be advertising now?
  23. Yes, I would agree. Mine has the 10mm front panel, but at the time they were not offering aluminum rear panels. I take it yours is aluminum? Nice job at any rate, and thanks for the reply.
  24. They didn't when I bought my Dissipante, but yes, I was aware that they do offer them now. Hence the question.
  25. Is the back panel on that case aluminum, or is that the stock steel panel? I'd like to do something similar on my dynahi, but didn't think that FPE did steel panels.
