  1. I would not use ST Micro regulators... I've had problems with them in the past, mostly the negative, Use Fairchild or National or ON instead.
  2. Sorry about your daughter Salty! Hope she heals fast! And sorry for your car lending experiences Wayne! Me: took off a couple hours early from work and rode 21 miles in 1:27, so about 14.5mph. Better, still sucks. Beautiful day out!
  3. the fuck??? as in what...

Thanks for the kind wishes all! Unfortunately, a project at work got in the way of doing anything fun (got home at 9 last night). I'll make up for it this weekend Did get a nice pair of bib shorts though!

Doug, I'm not Salty, but I went ahead and pdf'd the ratings and sent it your way... sitting here waiting for something at work, and I owe you anyhow Chris
  6. I used to have a Pedja Rogic NOS DAC (which morphsci has now) which used a CS8412 (DIP). I also bought a CS8414 SMD on a converter board. I did not do any serious listening tests between them, but the CS8414 provided quicker lock as well as locked on more/higher rates (24/96), so this is what I left in it. Never tried the DIR9001, but it might provide more of the same?
  7. RudeWolf I do have (2) of the Rev. C Dynalo boards left. I could part with one. PM me with your address and what you consider fair and we'll go from there. BTW, the link Marc posted was a Dynalo, not a Dynahi.
  8. Sorry, forgot to check last night. Just sent myself an email to remind me...
  9. Came home from work a bit early, but had to run an errand. When I got that done, I rode 16.46 miles in 1:09, so 14.3mph. Better, still sucks. Light wind, 8E, felt good. Was going to do another 5-6 miles, but got a phone call and had to come home
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. I probably only have one (which is 2 channels)... I'll take a look tonight and see what I have left.
  12. Nice and clean... me likes!
  13. Happy Birthday Ari!
  14. BL if you can get them (same for 2SK170). Is Amb out of Dynalo boards? I may have one laying about that I probably won't need (the original DGardner boards, not the ones Lil Knight had run). Stock Dynalo gain should be fine; I've never adjusted the gain on any of mine and they have been just right for all the phones I've thrown at them. Note, I didn't look at your schematic from work.

  16. RIP
  17. Have a great time Gene! Beach and water look great!
  18. Glad you're OK Bryan!
  19. Really like these guys (and gals)...
  20. x N. Really sorry to hear about your respective fathers. Archosman, gald you are able to be there with your dad.
  21. Maybe... never heard a DynaFET
  22. Your added observations could just point to one key difference between the Beta22 and the Dynahi/lo... FET vs. BJT output stages.
  23. I had used the plain old GE Silicone II in clear before. Many of the caps in the Counterpoint pre I used to have were affixed using clear silicone (from the factory). As long as it is low odor it should be non-acidic. From a quick google of electronics-grade silicone, it looks like GC has one for a reasonable price (<$5 a tube).
  24. Happy Birthday Kevin!
