  1. ^ Really! I'll be lucky if I am over 1K this year.
  2. Belated Happy Birthday to both of you!
  3. ^ Agreed. It is insane, and something needs to be done about that. You should have seen the bill for my hips And what BCBS actually paid.
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. I'm pretty sure I used a pair of these (though red) on the quad Alps I have, will check tonight. FT cheaper than having a board run done. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/251069334948?lpid=82
  6. Rip Greystone
  7. You mean these guys? Not sure I understand paying a whole bunch of money for an umbilical. Audio grade connectors? Uhh, yeah Glad the damage wasn't worse and that you can fix it for him. I guess an addition will need to be made on the "apology" on the home page: A word from the Owner and President, Brad Vojtech:
  8. I found this thread interesting (in a piss me off sort of way) over on the paceline: http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=139393 References this op ed in the NYT: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/10/opinion/sunday/is-it-ok-to-kill-cyclists.html?_r=1&

    Hi.

^ This. Was going ok, then not so much... The other douche...
  10. Happy Birthday Dinny! With a trying year (or more) behind you, here's to only good things looking forward!
  11. You really bit on one of those? Well, I guess this is Head Case Here's hoping it does deploy if you ever need it; better yet hope that you never need it to.
  12. Good to hear Justin! And I'd agree with Antonio about avoiding sweating on the incisions until at least the stitches are removed. They may want you to keep it dry after that as well.
  13. Dynalo?
  14. ^ This! Happy Birthday to both of you!
  15. I think it is Vinnie Rossi (sp?). He started out giving mod advice on audioasylum... oops, that is red wine audio. Ken Ball founded ALO audio. I think most of us thought he was a douche when we dealt with him for Chicago Can Jam, at least I did. I doubt he does the designs though.
  16. Double no shit! Good luck Justin!
  17. So what does nelson do to get away with using mosfets (in pretty much everything he does, preamps included) that seems to escape others?
  18. Keeping on insisting that you will not provide internal photos will only fan the flames and make people think something is being hidden (it is ). Particularly since many others do provide porn shots without being asked for them. Hell, Ray even had internal shots on his website.
  19. Sorry about the crash and bone break Justin! I hope you heal quickly.
  20. No, those are in parallel with the wiper and ground and are there in case the wiper loses contact, and are normally a very large resistance (500k-1M). Kevin is talking about putting in a series resistance so that the pot minimum stays 100-200 ohms above ground basically. No spot for it on the board. This is on my Dynalo built on a Headamp V2 board (didn't I sell you the other one I had? Or was that a Rev. B or Rev. C board?). My work Dynalo does not exhibit this problem. EDIT: I haven't gotten around to implementing this yet; maybe tomorrow. Wifey has plans for me today
  21. I thought Kelvin "cables" were usually used for precision measurement of low impedance? Like my 4-wire HP meter does? As you note, I'm not sure how this applies to a ground plane design (if that is what they are trying to convey), nor what that has to do with "vias", which are plated thru holes on a PCB connecting different layers, and which you normally try to avoid or minimize in board layout?
  22. Reading the specs, does this actually mean something or is it just the normal 'phool-speak? multi VIA layer grounding basis, pcb design is based on the theoretical principles of the "kelvin - wiring" And an OPA134? my my...
  23. ^ this. Fugly in a fall of the roman empire sort of way...
  24. Apparently Mad Fiber never received the capital promised by DCG and has folded. Fuckers (DCG). There was also a report that they did not come thru with the promised capital to Serotta (post 28), http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=138867
