  1. ^ I'm in the same boat as Nate; I don't ride enough though. Nate: sorry about the crash, glad your damage to you was minimal. A trick you can use on the derailleur hanger is to pull the skewer of a rear wheel, remove the derailleur, and screw the wheel into the hanger (should be the same M10x1 thread on a rear axle, at least vintage is). The wheel will help you gauge whether the dropout is aligned with the actual rear wheel in the bike.
  2. Happy Birthday!

  5. Was he the one that was into the Rudi shit a long time ago (when Kevin and Rudi got into it on HF?) Might be thinking of the wrong guy...

  8. I was dumbfounded as well. Reminded me of the Jecklin float picture that everyone posts
  9. Cool jersey Raffy. Probably not big enough for me though.
  10. Happy Birthday Vicki! Hope you have a great one!
  11. Way to go Karen! And to Peter's soccer team as well! Quite a success filled day/weekend!
  12. Is Richard (SumR) handling these faulty trafos, or do you have to buy a new one from him? Doesn't sound good, whatever.
  13. I hate shaving, which was probably why I had a beard for 20+ years. I occasionally use an electric, but normally just a Gillette Mach 3 Turbo and Nivea shaving cream. I used my Dad's single blade Gillette something or other (probably '60s vintage) and tended to cut the shit out of myself, so no thanks...
  14. And had my first commuting "accident" tonight. Soon after I left work, I pulled into a turn lane and had to wait for oncoming cars. I thought I had unclipped when the wait was longer than I expected, but apparently not. "Oh shit" moment unraveled. Fell over, and scraped up my elbow on the asphalt. Glad I didn't do a collarbone. The balance of the ride home was fine once I got the bike readjusted a bit, and am riding in again tomorrow.
  15. It's All About The Bike - Pt. 2 This is badass... even being able to do this at all (and in its shortened version this year because of the Fed. shutdown) is remarkable to me. http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=137573
  16. You've been having sciatic pain? Ouch! Hope you get it sorted out Chris. I've only had it once or twice (briefly), and I can't imagine having it for an extended period.
  17. Yeah, that is sad to hear Al. I suppose the chemo and radiation kinda wiped his quality of life out over time as well. Sucks. Ditto on sympathies to his family.
  18. I think there are some concerns/criticisms of the parts used, as well as the design. Input FETs are one that I recall.
  19. That didn't seem like much of a personal attack... (if any? dunno, not that sensitive about these things) I think we say something like Grow some thicker skin around here. But what do I know.
  20. ^ +1 Vince should have written the last few seasons of Dexter, for the same ass suckage reasons.
  21. Cool Dan! Hopefully you will get her into cycling! EDIT: Also, on the chance that anyone here might be interested, I have my brother's Bianchi FS over at the paceline. I took Wed. and Thurs. off this week to trim a hedge in our back yard. Got done early afternoon on Thurs. so took it out for 30 miles. Nice bike, Campy stuff works great on it. I even like the saddle on it, even though I have always ridden Brooks Pros. http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=137126
  22. I don't think that Anders is unconvinced, but simply pointing out that posting at huddler-fi with no evidence to back up the claim is ineffective, and likely to be deleted as unsubstantiated. And since when can you not post pictures at huddler-fi? I just went there and it seems to support images in thread postings?
  23. Happy Birthday!
  24. Happy Birthday Wayne!
