Double no shit! Good luck Justin!

So what does nelson do to get away with using mosfets (in pretty much everything he does, preamps included) that seems to escape others?
-
Keeping on insisting that you will not provide internal photos will only fan the flames and make people think something is being hidden (it is ). Particularly since many others do provide porn shots without being asked for them. Hell, Ray even had internal shots on his website.

Sorry about the crash and bone break Justin! I hope you heal quickly.

No, those are in parallel with the wiper and ground and are there in case the wiper loses contact, and are normally a very large resistance (500k-1M). Kevin is talking about putting in a series resistance so that the pot minimum stays 100-200 ohms above ground basically. No spot for it on the board. This is on my Dynalo built on a Headamp V2 board (didn't I sell you the other one I had? Or was that a Rev. B or Rev. C board?). My work Dynalo does not exhibit this problem. EDIT: I haven't gotten around to implementing this yet; maybe tomorrow. Wifey has plans for me today

i found first "official" notes about RKV mark 3
Pars replied to milma's topic in Headphone Amplification
I thought Kelvin "cables" were usually used for precision measurement of low impedance? Like my 4-wire HP meter does? As you note, I'm not sure how this applies to a ground plane design (if that is what they are trying to convey), nor what that has to do with "vias", which are plated thru holes on a PCB connecting different layers, and which you normally try to avoid or minimize in board layout? -

Reading the specs, does this actually mean something or is it just the normal 'phool-speak? multi VIA layer grounding basis, pcb design is based on the theoretical principles of the "kelvin - wiring" And an OPA134? my my... -

Apparently Mad Fiber never received the capital promised by DCG and has folded. Fuckers (DCG). There was also a report that they did not come thru with the promised capital to Serotta (post 28), http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=138867

In series? Or pot output to ground? EDIT: series it is

I ran across a weird problem the other night when using my Dynalo (headamp V2 board). I have an amb e22 DC offset protection circuit on the output, and when I have a set of headphones plugged in (T50rp fostex) and the volume turned all the way down, the protect circuit activates (cycles). Once I turn the volume up a little it stops doing that and works normally. Before I dig into it to try to figure out why, I just thought I'd ask here to see if this might just be normal? EDIT: answered that. My work dynalo does not do this, and it also has an e22 on it. Same phones (not the same pair) as well.

One of my favorite tires that we had on one of my wife's cars was a set of Goodyear Tripletreds. Great grip and handling, good snow performance, rain performance etc. They didn't last worth a shit, but the pro-rating when we replaced them paid for more than half the replacement tire cost.
-
^ Didn't realize they owned goodrich now...

Max Performance summer tire, not so hot here for all year use. And at $220 a pop (on closeout) on a size for my Honda, they had better rule
-
I don't think Michelin are the best tires out there, and have my share of dissatisfaction with several of the OEM sets on our Hondas. Michelins are also very expensive, but don't seem to bring much (if anything) to the table for the additional $$. Take a look at the Primacy reviews on Tire Rack and compare them to those of other tires you might consider.
-
I'd agree. I had a set of Kumhos on one of my Accords, and my boss uses them and likes them as well. Also take a look at Dunlops. I had some A60s on the old Accord and liked them (well, until they delaminated or something, but they had a lot of miles on them and were shot anyhow when that happened). My wife's car is the same as yours Shelly (2004 EX-L V6), and the Yokohamas have been good on it.
-
Yeah, get some Blizzaks Shelly! I have not been too impressed with the Michelins that came stock on any of our Hondas, other than the set on my 2011 seems pretty good. Usually they were good the first winter but then traction really fell off. As Wayne notes, the higher the mileage rating, the harder the tread compound to achieve that mileage rating. I once bought a set of Michelins (can't remember what model they were) with a 60K or 70K mileage rating. I got rid of them at around 30K because the traction sucked so bad I couldn't stand them anymore. We have put Yokohama Avids on as replacements on my wife and son's cars, and have been happy with them so far. We normally get tires from Discount Tire (with the warranty, which has paid for itself with a couple of nail punctures). I might try Tire Rack for my next set however.

Yes, but then you'd be here...

Sorry for your loss skullguise.

Good to hear. Yes, patience is required

Looks good. Did you get the offset down to more manageable levels? I try to get the offset to within 1mV on dynalo/dynahi before I put the servo opamp in. Not sure if anything has changed on these boards with respect to that versus the old single boards or not? I'm aware of the input section being true balanced now vs. the previous mono boards. I wouldn't expect that to change anything.

^ There's a picture of Jeff in there??? Great work!

Happy Birthday Marc!

^ Nailed it. Too much of this behind the scenes wink wind nod nod say no more shit going on. Maybe instead of sending shit to shills to blow more sunshine up orifices, invest in a unit to someone knowledgeable like Kevin or Birgir to look it over and evaluate it and provide feedback. I think both of them have already offered way more than enough constructive help regarding the Exstata (assuming I have the story straight and remembered it correctly), which apparently fell upon deaf ears. I must have misread this the first time because I didn't really think much of it, but alleging that Birger (or someone) went over the solder joints on this to make them appear bad is ludicrous, and has been pointed out, normally, an experienced tech (and I am one) would be adding solder to joints. Many of the joints appear to have too little solder, and poorly flowed.

I use an iphone, but my brother sent me this link the other day. I've read some of it, but it is an interesting view of android... http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/10/googles-iron-grip-on-android-controlling-open-source-by-any-means-necessary/
