  1. Great to hear Justin. I agree with Jeff. The last hip I had done, a PT nurse came in the night of the surgery and grabbed my leg and bent it up as far as it would go. Freaked me out at the time, but helped a lot! The more you can move, the better off you are usually (within Dr. parameters).
  2. God are these guys full of it! Who cares what the jitter is at 100MHz, how about at 10Hz? Any decent clock on the planet could probably meet (or beat easily) their spec.
  3. ^ That might work for Dan (from driveway pics of his that I've seen)
  4. You mean you broke it while riding it, or taking it apart? If the former, they should cover it. This shit shouldn't break. What kind of IGH is this?
  5. Finally got around to looking at this today. Of course Mr. Scope confirmed Kevin's diagnosis (and cure); it was definitely oscillating. 200 ohms in series with the pot wiper -> amp took care of it. Funny, it didn't oscillate when I built it and worked on checking dc offset (with board input shorted). Must be the additional inductance/capacitance of the input and pot wiring. I would guess that had I board mounted the pot (this is one of Justin's V2 boards), it would not have done this. Thanks for the quick help Kevin!
  6. Happy Birthday Gene!!
  7. Sorry about the slide out. I'd take hotter than crap right now vs. what we have (10F this morning with about a 20mph N wind... would have been a sweet day to ride into work )
  8. Happy Birthday Bryan! Enjoy the beer(s) or whiskey if you are getting into that more
  9. Happy belated birthday as well! Good to see you around.
  10. ^ Really! I'll be lucky if I am over 1K this year.
  11. Belated Happy Birthday to both of you!
  12. ^ Agreed. It is insane, and something needs to be done about that. You should have seen the bill for my hips And what BCBS actually paid.
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. I'm pretty sure I used a pair of these (though red) on the quad Alps I have, will check tonight. FT cheaper than having a board run done. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/251069334948?lpid=82

  16. You mean these guys? Not sure I understand paying a whole bunch of money for an umbilical. Audio grade connectors? Uhh, yeah Glad the damage wasn't worse and that you can fix it for him. I guess an addition will need to be made on the "apology" on the home page: A word from the Owner and President, Brad Vojtech:
  17. I found this thread interesting (in a piss me off sort of way) over on the paceline: http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=139393 References this op ed in the NYT: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/10/opinion/sunday/is-it-ok-to-kill-cyclists.html?_r=1&

    Hi.

^ This. Was going ok, then not so much... The other douche...
  19. Happy Birthday Dinny! With a trying year (or more) behind you, here's to only good things looking forward!
  20. You really bit on one of those? Well, I guess this is Head Case Here's hoping it does deploy if you ever need it; better yet hope that you never need it to.
  21. Good to hear Justin! And I'd agree with Antonio about avoiding sweating on the incisions until at least the stitches are removed. They may want you to keep it dry after that as well.
  22. Dynalo?
  23. ^ This! Happy Birthday to both of you!
  24. I think it is Vinnie Rossi (sp?). He started out giving mod advice on audioasylum... oops, that is red wine audio. Ken Ball founded ALO audio. I think most of us thought he was a douche when we dealt with him for Chicago Can Jam, at least I did. I doubt he does the designs though.
