HF-2 is indeed a winner. Nice smooth (not overly so) sound, does nothing wrong to me. This is with bowls; didn't like them with flats. I'll be comparing them to the ESW10 tomorrow.
HD800 is another clear winner; I haven't heard any other headphone sound so right. I wish I could afford this.
This seems like the right thread to ask so...
Can you pop an already formatted drive (used internally) into a BlacX and use it like you would if it were connected internally?
The obvious solution to using US voltage electronics in Japan is a step up transformer. Or a different AC adapter if that's possible.
But say I wanted to use this in Japan. Is it doable without a step up transformer? The IEC inlet on top right says EMI Filter 115V/250V~ 50/60Hz
That was my first thought. Then I saw that it was sold out. And then I saw the September 2009 release date. Hopefully they can have more ready by then.
Basically it says that the midrange "etch" (I'm assuming they're talking about the same thing) is gone in the LTD, making it a Lambda family STAX that's most like the 007(A). Sounds really interesting.
