  1. I have not just the .5, 1 and 500. The 500 is a beast and sounded awesome in Al's set up.
  2. Tom try the McCormacks, they are great sounding amps. I've had a DNA .5 on and off for the past 20 years. The DNA .5 plays louder than its rated power and many think it as good as or better than the DNA 1. If you can find a SC modded version they are highly recommended. I got my DNA .5 sliver level for just over a grand. This amp smoked the Krell intergrated I owned.
  3. Billy seriously Chi-town had a shot and fucked it up two years ago and you were pumped to get the second shot then you pull a Claude Rains. Seriously without a story seems like a weak move IMHO.
  4. When I find the engineer that designed the pads for the 007 I am going to kick them in the nuts. Putting the new pads on my mkls was fucking torture.

  8. Sweet, my favorite record hem I'm feeling pissed off Just finished spinning Richie Havens Mixed Bag 2
  9. I like my otter box case for the iPhone but it does add a bit of bulk I really like the prop up option on this though
  10. The tapes are spectacular and definitely represent some of the best sound I've heard. Oddly the others were things like a garrard 401 playing out of gotu horns
  11. so for basic Itunes library the drobo would be the move? I have about 1.5 tb itunes library and another .5 tb of movies at least and needledrop raw files that are 4gb each normally. So I was thinking the drobo 4 bay unit with 4-2tb drives (thinking of the WD green) All in this sets me back $880 but gets me off the hard drive merry go round for a while.
  12. Janes Addiction Ritual De Lo Habitual
  13. aaarrgghh well I have a few carts and NONE really totally float my boat. Denon 103 FL, great tone but not as detailed as I'd like Denon DL-S1 another great cart from Denon detail and soundstage a plenty but maybe not the last word in tone and bass slam Sumiko Talisman S, fairly legendary cart, that I think has seen better days. It is bright in my system but I am considering a soundsmith retip/cantilever so see what that brings almost bought an Jan Alaertes cart this morning but I am gun shy as it is being represented as NOS but was built in 2003. The web take is great cart but the very fine coils could be melted extremely easily if your pre amp does anything weird. Last week I almost bought a ZYX Atmos but Mehran from Sora Sound. He would only extend the higher of his prices to me so in the end I passed( I am not a higher end client with him) I really liked the Dynas I had but I may be romancing the memory of the 20-xh I had and the 17d3 was great but a pita to set up on my previous table. Any suggestions from the peanut gallery?
  14. Oh the horror, I am sitting here listening to the Dead from a mixing board tape and much to my amazement I am enjoying. May be time for that drug test I've been meaning to take
  15. Ryan it will be good to see you next month, have a great Birthday!
  16. I really like the rowmote app, they just updated it for the ipad and it looks much better scaled correct for this screen. I have the Belkin case and I hate that I have to peel back a corner to use my JH13s or after market chargers it is not a great value at $50 imho
  17. Stretch if you recently updated Itunes then you'll need to go to the amarra site and download the plug in for Itunes 9
  18. Damn, Mike that sounds tasty! Had a nice breakfast at Chelsea Market, bought a few LPs at Academy and I'm finishing off a beer at DBA before heading home.
