My invite must have gotten lost in the mail, damn the USPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tortuga Music Fest coming up in April, right on the beach 5 miles from my condo!
PS Glad you enjoyed the show
Just picked up a Transfiguration Spirit cart, wow very good. Slightly thin but very balanced, detailed with great tracking. Makes me wonder what do you get moving up the line. Not too shabby for $450 for a lightly used cart.
My new LBS is run by a guy that is an amazing fitter and I just went through 8 or so saddles trying to get one that fit right. His advice was once you got one that made your sit bones happy stick with it. You can tweak angle, height and front back position to address other issues.
The Gem Dandy is fantastic and arguably as good or better than a vacuum based unit. It is super messy and a bad parts to retail price ratio.yhat said I'd recommend it for cleaning any non collectable LP
I shot the 3440 and the 1131 out after I bought the 1131 and far preferred the 1131 I did not focus on the bass just overall impressions had me listing the 3440 soon after I got the 1131 blues sut from Bob.
Neither is flat 13= medium bass lift
16= large bass lift, neither obscures the mids like other iems I've heard with more pronounced bass. I like the mids on the 13 better than the 16 but it could be differences in fit influencing this.
Both the freqphased 13/16 outperform their former selves. I like both but prefer the 13 out of a dap but the 16 out of the 3a amp/DAC is just unreal. That set up rivals/tops all other home set ups I've had.
You can't do better on the go than jh13 with a higher end dap, I'm testing the Astell and Kern AK100 and the combo is ridiculous good.
Gregg I may have a guy in Florida that can look at it he is more of a vintage Yamaha guy. HE reconditioned my PX-2 and was extremely reasonable. LMK and I can shoot you his info he is quirky but reliable.
Matt Schofield was absolutely mesmerizing fun show recovering now. Oddly I think Derek Trucks as goos as he is on slide is an even better when he solos without the slide his thumb/finger technique is fantastic and he pulls off some incredibly fluid lines.
I totally echo Vicki's comments I have to get some Wood Brothers!! TTD rocked and did a killer cover of Isn't It A Pity and finished with some Sly and the Family Stone. Altogether an amazing show
Tomorrow is the Sunshine (although that;s in doubt) Blues Fest with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Walter Trout, Sonny Landreth and Dr John! and most of all Vicki!
