  1. I really want the iPad Air, I have two iPad now I have to see what versions but the Air is too good to pass up. I do wish they had implemented high res audio on this version but it looks like that could be a few iterations out
  2. IEMs have high sensitivity so they are more susceptible to amp hiss than standard full sized HPs yes it is the amp In thinking this through they ety resistor might work for me, while not customized to the JH it might knock down the hiss with only a small SQ hit. Now to find an adapter for a 4 pin balanced?
  3. I know this is insane but I absolutely love the sound of my JH 13/16s powered by either my Fetastic or Zana but both are obviously noisy in this application. They both (noise aside) sound way better than the portable amps I have tried but wonder if there is a desktop option out there that is under $2k that would be silent with these but also sound fantastic. If the Fetastic was quiet it would be the best option as it sounds great with them and is balanced to boot but there is a hiss present at all volumes. Not a knock on the amp as I am using outside it's intended purpose.
  4. Well Florida has been silent for far too long. We plan to get together Saturday 11/16 for maybe a bit of gear sampling while we drink a few bottles from Mike and my beer collection. There should likely be a trip to the Funky Buddha Brewery, maybe a bicycle ride the following morning and how knows what else. Gene has decided to make an appearance so the meet is titled in his honor! So far Mike, Vicky, Raffy, Carl and Bonnie are on the attendee list but all Head Case folks are welcome. If anyone is still interested in gear I've got the AK 100 and HiFIMan 901 around if you wanted to check these out. I can also call over to JH and see if we can scrounge the demo of the Roxanne for the weekend. So chime in if you think you can attend. There are plenty of hotel options near me and my place in right on the beach. I've also got a barbecue grill out on the condo patio we could use as well for lunch or dinner. Very Loose Itinerary Friday night - gather up head over to the Buddha for the food truck and beer Saturday - kill some rareish bottles (various years of Hunahpu, a few FFF beers (Dark Lord, Baller and Behemoth maybe some Eclipse and how knows what else), listen to some music or not then head out to either the Buddha or another local spot. Sunday - take our tired asses on a bike ride up A1A Florida locals feel free to chime in with other options

  21. it was a great hike and really epic in that we were way off trail and deep into the part. The water parts were cool but reeked havoc on my knees and feet. That rattler was not amused with our group at all
