I think I can call this done. 450V, 10mA output current, uses the old sand, and considerably smaller than my huge HV.

Good news, the mafia v4 amp boards work Powered up my new (much smaller) HV and there's sound coming out of it. I had to lower the 2kOhm resistors before the offset pot to 1.74kOhm to get it to zero though. Once I get a replacement for this buzzing toroid I'll take a few pics.

Yep, had to flip the lower A970s. The other A970s were already in the left position. Just to be sure, is 100V rating enough for the .1uf caps for the servo?

Thanks, I'll have to check which way I put them in when I get home. Guess it's a good thing I'm still waiting on the (2U/300mm depth/450mm width) enclosure for my new HV. Gonna be a tight fit (nothing like the tiny HV though), and hopefully nothing blows up.

Indeed they are. Granted this one doesn't have the IXYS CCS option, but it's still impressive how much size has been shaven off (while adding the servo no less).

Well my huge hv uses the LSK389A's (the A is on ujamerstand's BOM too). Seems the only difference between the flavors is the Idss range. Edit: Realized I answered my own question.

Very carefully... Though I really haven't needed to adjust the bias/offset on my build. Last time I checked the farthest it was out once warmed up was about 2V.

Is that second prototype running at 9mA as well? Seeing these tiny (very nicely done) builds is starting to make my huge hv feel unnecessary.

Well I managed to take out the driver and clean out the other side's dust cover, and the noise appears to have gone away. Might have just become less noticeable. Also straightened out the grill while I was at it, since it was a bit concave. Anyway, thanks for the help guys.

Is it possible to take the 507's driver out of the housing without separating all of it's layers (since they aren't glued together)? I did find some fibers on the side facing the ear between the metal grill and the dust cover, but I've not been able to remove it.

Well I took off the back of the enclosure today, and I found a small depression in the dust cover on the side that faces away from the ear. No actual hole that I could find though. Could the dust cover touching the stator could be the cause? If not I don't think I wanna risk exploring the other two options (dust on the other side or resoldering).

I suppose it's not worth the time/effort to fix it over making a new lambda driver? Their staff is pretty limited from what I remember.

Is it even worth sending them in to stax to get them repaired? Or would they just replace the drivers (for however many hundred dollars it costs to do so)?

I was worried it'd be that, oh well. At least the noise is very quiet. I don't suppose I could ask you to take them from me to get rid of the dust could I? I should be getting their replacement from PJ in a few weeks anyway.

So I've detected some low level hissing/noise on my SR-507s left channel. Not sure what to blame since I don't have other amps to check if it's something with my kgsshv. The noise persists even when I unplug them (stops when I discharge the pins though), so I don't think it's the amp at least. Any ideas?
