You can no longer get the JH13s with the 3A now—it's the JH16 only—something else that happened while you were sleeping. It's been quite a saga, believe me; I've read some of the threads over at the other place.

Or JH16FP FTMFW. Save money, no crazy adapter, and I can drive them with anything.

I'd like to get some insight on this point as well. I thought the idea was that getting the whole system was a good match, but fuck if it's what Birgir is saying, it seems like it might be better just to get the JH16FPs, and a portable DAC (yet another conversation if I want 24/96 support) and just use my existing my Pico Slim (or my BHA-1), and save some money in the process... Jeffy don't like to waste money.

Also ridiculous that they don't offer any other choices for adapters; it might be nice to have a 1/8" or 4-pin XLR option—it might be nice to use those headphones with a full-size desktop amp.

I almost bought a pair of those, but I heard over time they develop a wooly, funky sound. It would be a real feet to get decent sound out of them. I see myself trying to run away from the music, and not being able to...

I just compare the amount of time I interact with the optical drive in my iMac with vs the time I sit in front of the computer not interacting with the drive and I'd choose fewer moving parts and the nicer form factor every time. I install most of my software via download and rip CDs etc. on my (fugly) PC anyway.

I've never had any (h)issues with my JH13s;. In fact I've always remarked on how quiet they are—whether I've amped them from an iPhone directly, or through my Meier Stepdance or Pico Slim.
