  1. I forgot to add to this that the rs-1 has a thicker midrange, which I like. Biggie.
  2. More so, why would you do mods on it that aren't easily reversible. Not to mention Markl listens at deafening levels and has peculiar tastes. Biggie.
  3. Well I'm not Hirsch, but this is how I compare them: PS-1 > RS-1: PS-1 is better at resolving subtle details, has a smoother frequency response, has less of a bass hump, sound stage is a more laid back and 3-d, highs are more accurate and under control, no sibilance problems, bass is more detailed and goes lower RS-1 > PS-1: RS-1 tone for wood and stringed instruments sounds more true to life, quantity of bass is more accurate And I still listen to them both. Biggie.
  4. Too many of the people I hate head-fi for are showing up here all of a sudden. For that reason I hope head-fi comes back soon. Biggie.
  5. You should make some type of announcement on headamp.com. Biggie.
  6. Sell it while theres still hype. Biggie.
  7. Did you compare them with the same pads on the same rig with the same music? Hmmm your impressions of the d5000's pretty much mirror mine vs. grados. Hey wait a minute... Biggie.
  8. Hey, I was harping about how shitty the r-10 is before you guys even joined head-fi. Biggie.
  9. I said it was a refined sr225. Bass can be refined too... Biggie.
  10. Stop posting about things you haven't heard jackass. Biggie.
  11. Many people find grados uncomfortable. I would recommend beyer 250-80 over beyer 770-dt. The beyer 770's and sony v6's sound horrible. The 250-80's have a more balanced sound, and I found them comfortable. Biggie.
  12. Agreed. Hf-1 is like a refined sr225 with lusher mids. Biggie.
  13. HF-1 sound is not even remotely close to touching the rs-1 or ps-1. hf-1's scale like an sr60, and they can't recreate a stage like the rs-1 or ps-1 can. However the hf-1 sound is pleasant and fun. At my last headphone meet someone had their hf-1's and were embarrassed that they even brought them after comparing them on my system to the ps-1. The hf-1 is incapable of reproducing the depth and dynamic range of a recording on the same level as a rs-1 or ps-1. hf-1's also have more trouble distinguishing between the tonal subtleties in things like cymbal hits, which causes each cymbal hit to sound the same, rather then different. The hf-1's poorer imaging also plays a part in this. I don't see how changing the earcups would remove all of these flaws. Biggie.
  14. Go out and audition speaker setups Biggie.
  15. Yeah I currently some nice moonsoon speakers. I got them for 1/3 the price when I bought them. ^^ Unfortunately the 1/8" connection on the subwoofer is pretty sketchy. Maybe I will buy a part and fix it hmmm. Biggie.
  16. P-P is cheaper to implement. But if money isn't a problem... ^^ Biggie.
  17. Too big. Biggie.
  18. Any recommendations? I don't have a price range. Just something that sounds clear and balanced. Biggie.
  19. Arrrg, I edited out the content of my "review" a few days ago, but my thread won't seem to die. Biggie.
  20. boo-urns. Biggie.
  21. Thats because people are dumbasses and don't pre-bend their vd cords before inserting them. If you do it right its not going to put much weight on the equipment its plugged into. Biggie.
  22. That pm was through head-fi. Both my power cords use oyaide connectors with Beryllium/palladium connectors, which have the effect of really smooth highs and big rock solid bass (compared to other connectors). Maybe a bit too much of a good thing hehe. I thought I would try to cash out on my Wolff cord since he just jacked the price up on them, and replace it with a cord with rhodium connectors like my previous Wolff cord had, which was pretty light on the bass. Biggie.
  23. A free cord is not bad, but I got something even better, a free shill via pm: ^^ Biggie.
  24. Come on, this is our cheap ass friend Aerius here. Give the guy some credit. Biggie.
  25. Do you own rs-1's now, or were you just listening to em? Biggie.
