happy birthday spritzers bakery
Thanks guys. It was a crazy day to say the least, 14 hours of non-stop running plus a couple of hours to clean up. Just making sure the store was fully stocked was a nightmare since we sold a lot more breads then I thought we would, I focused mostly on pastries, cakes and the like, and I can't simply make more breads appear by snapping my fingers. Even though there are tricks to make them develop faster (warmer water, more yeast, adding enzymes and maltose etc.) they still need about 60 minutes in the proofer and another 30 in the oven. Let's just say I'm glad this is over...

I think I even have the schematic for the SRA-7S somewhere around here but it could also be the SRA-6S... I've had a few of those over the years and even modified them for Pro bias.

Time to update the old Popcorn hour then. Some extra network bandwidth will be nice to have over the old unit.

Koss ESP/950 electrostat thread
I don't know of any stock pads that will fit but I was once going to mount ESP950 drivers in a HE90 like shell and use HE90 earpads. You can't modify the stock bias supply to do that but you can build a small adjustable one and mount it to the sidewall of the amp or something like that. Run it off the main transformer and B+

The pads on the ESP950 suck balls but the cans have some serious promise. You need a new amp though...

It was just me being silly. I usually say tube amps are safe if you don't try to lick them.

Thanks guys. Nobody knows the exact day the ovens were fired up for the first time but it was late August/early September 1834. A German baker was brought in to run the bakery (and it's named after him, Bernh

Hmmmm wasn't there a B22 once that you blew up? I would start off at the crafts store with some felt or perhaps cotton.

They will become much brighter if you remove the damping (if I remeber correctly... ) so try some different types of materials plus a reflex dot instead of the stock wool. Steve did an excellent job with the Donuts so perhaps enlist him for this?

Have you tried to remove the damping? It will give you a baseline as to just how much can be done to the sound. I'd also put some Jena wire on them because it is teh bezt!!

Foam deterioration
I think it just dries up with time, that is certainly true with the foam lining Stax uses. On old sets like the Koss ESP6/7/9 then the foam is nasty to say the least and destroys all it touches when it breaks down.

Yup You can do better for the price. A SRM-T1/Lambda Signature combo can be found for that price.

That's the PC-OCC model and Nate is wrong, they had had 5 pin Stax sockets for at least 6 years when this cable was introduced. I bought one of these new with my first SR-007 back in 2003 and they still had the 6-pin socket.
