  1. Replacing those copper bus bars with twisted wire should help with the hum.
  2. Why do you need that strand setup? Extra flexibility and/or the cable will withstand the flexing better? 26AWG would make sense for rewiring headphones...
  3. Ohh snap, Marc's got some magical mil-spec wire!!!!! Make me some cables ASAP! Ohh and that nylon sleeving is very, very nice.
  4. Happy Birthday!!
  5. I do think the Trends UD10.1 does have a proper BNC output but it's been a while since I was researching this stuff...
  6. Happy Birthday!!!
  7. It's all about doing and burning/blowing up things while your at it.
  8. Mine is here as well. Can't wait for the 24th now...
  9. Hell look at the cramped T2 and see why it has to be this big.
  10. When I saw the first pic I thought "those look an awful lot like the Shackman drivers..."
  11. I also get some sick pleasure for reusing SP crapola in my amps. The latest prototype has filament wiring, terminal strips and capacitor clamps all rescued from the ES-1.
  12. Nope that is the girl truly freaked out by something he's hearing though a pair of Lambdas.
  13. The Stax stand is very stable.
  14. Have I got a bit more news for you.
  15. For them to compete with the ET1000, Beyer would have to make a neutral and even handed transducer and I quite frankly can't see that happening. Moar tesla, moar bass!!!!
  16. I'll see what I can do.
  17. Just got the latest HFN (Jan'10 issue) and Stax is featured in the audio milestones. Nothing new really but seeing somebody wearing Sigmas in print is pretty much priceless...
  18. Minor details...
  19. The Lambda Pro is known for its recessed midrange so switching to something like a SR-202 or Lambda Nova Signature would help. Even the normal bias SR-Lambda could be a better match.
  20. Happy birfday! I are bot!
  21. With a DAC on board then it would make perfect sense to offer a balanced output with a digital volume control. Simply slapping on a phase splitter (which are not all created equal) seems like a terrible idea to me.
  22. They would probably charge me extra for that.
  23. No threshold and roughly 70% tax on anything audio related.
  24. Yeah, I took it as input. Then this is just a SE amp with a phase splitter and a differential output stage with more noise/impedance. What a truly terrible idea.
