  1. On the spec sheet you got from SumR it states the temp rise at full load. Mine are 37.5°C which makes them burning hot to say the least... I think it might be a good idea to swap these transformers out for a much higher rated unit.
  2. What's with the forum software. This thread just now kicked into the "View New Content"... It looks like they are fakes but I've yet to have them tested. What happened? Looks like I'm in the same boat as my HV transformers weren't made correctly... Those could be genuine but the markings aren't something I've seen before. The packaging looks genuine though.
  3. Happy Birthday!!!
  4. The bass is indeed improved but mostly by being cleaner than the usual Lambda. The arc might be a factor and I didn't try one of the older models to check it out. Properly sealed baffle and a much better baffle design would be larger factors to me. Still my old set is in the area so I might have to try this soon... If you are going to buy a Lambda then you can't go wrong with the 507. I don't care for the fit but my noggin is a bit over sized....
  5. My PSU is finally taking shape but I also bought some K216's from Dalbani and I suspect most of them are fakes: Sorry for the crappy picture. Most of them are like the ones on the left with only the 4 on the right looking authentic.
  6. It's a very good Lambda but doesn't touch the Omegas.
  7. Just accept it already, that's the only way to live with this curse...
  8. We've seen this before and the prices will go down again. Interest usually comes in waves so it fades away again.
  9. Shit?
  10. The stock 727 is a massive letdown to say the least but modded it is a rather nice amp. The mod isn't hard to do but requires some soldering skill. Also, don't blame Milos since his addiction is all my doing...
  11. I just love it that Srajan hasn't got a clue what he's talking about and just copies what ever the manufactures tell him. Trying to compare the perceived value of those amps makes him look even more stupid. One question, when did Craig start to use the Alpha volume pots?
  12. Happy Birthday(s)!!!
  13. Happy Birthday Dan!!
  14. Run them for a while, unplugging the set and shorting the pins to ground should help. It is also a good idea to increase the volume level a bit over normal levels since more voltage helps.
  15. Happy Birthday!!!
  16. It's always a good idea to remove the old protection systems from these phones since they don't age well. The drivers will easily last another 50 years. You can always install some back-to-back 451V zener diodes if you want protection for the drivers. As for the SR-007, just run the amp for a week playing music and the imbalance should go away. It can also happen when the weather changes as humidity is a factor here.
  17. Happy belated birthday Steve!!!
  18. Happy Birthday!!!!
  19. Happy Birthday!!!
  20. If you have any issues finding it, just PM me.
  21. I'm lucky that the system is very stable up here, drifting just a volt or so from 234V. If I ever were to have any issues then I know the guy in charge of the whole network... This does remind me to check the heaters on the my latest Egmont type amp. I'm guessing the 12.6V is way off spec with just two ECC83's and LED on 1.9A winding.
  22. Way too many parts for the T2. Time to finish this rather imposing beast...
  23. Synth Brittania. Too few programs feature schematics these days...
  24. The only issues I've had were with uneven epoxy coatings. It's not very comforting to see the resistive element on something meant for high voltage use...
  25. SR-007A...
