I forgot to add the the crappy sets of Cardas Golden Cross and Cardas Golden Reference I had in the system in between the AQ cables. BLAH!

Or even worse...They sound exactly like they were ment to sound.

Sources: VPI SuperScoutmaster, w/ sig arm and Super Platter. This has been the same all year. Cartridges have gone from, Dynavector 17D2MKII, 17D3, and now use the XX2-MKII. Phonostages have gone from BAT VK- P10SE, Ayre P-5XE, and now use the Sim Audio LP5.3 CDPs have been the Consonance Droplet 5.0, Sony SCD-1, Modwright 999ES, Sony SCD-1 (again), Marantz SA11-s1, and now use the NAD Master series M5. Preamps have been BAT VK-31SE, Aesthetix calypso, Musical Fidelity AC3.2, Ayre K-1XE, and now use the Singlepower Transparency (while waiting for my Maestro) AMPS, Have been the Parasuond JC-1s, Ayre V-1XE, and now use the Krell FPB-650M monos Speakers have been the Thiel CS7.2s all year and the year before. All the changes made have been to complement them. Audio Magic Stealth power purifier has been here all year for the digital. Cables have gone from Audioquest Cheetahs and Panther to Audioquest Skys everywhere. Speaker cables have been the Audioquest Mont Blancs for the year. Got a cool new chair this year also. Right now the system is the best I have had, and one of the best I have heard. I will upgrade my digital and add the outbaord power supply to my phonostage this year (2008) for sure. The only other possible upgrades would be Volcano or Everest speaker cables. But will have to be used and a good deal. Headphone amps have been SP Squarewave, Squarewave XLR, and now the Transparency. Headphones have been the HD650s

I dont know about you, but I dont do down time well at all. :'(

I was worried that this would be a makeshift release to get the vinyl money. The Cds are so great sounding, i thought I might end up getting screwed. 110% happy.

Thanks! I have some of these on old vinyl now and others on redbook and sacd. The Diana Krall pressing is REALLY REALLY NICE! I have always liked the recording quality even more than the music on most of her stuff. This is the best recording I have by her and i have them all(most sacd) Purk is going to freak when he comes over and I drop the needle on this is album.

I have the Skys everywhere now. But In have a plan to add another digital down the road.

I agree on the 6sn7s. With the Singlepowers I have had, I have always come back to a KenRad VT-231 or TungSol roundplate in front of some kind of Sylvanias ( VT-231s, badboys, 6sn7w) When I had the SDS-XLR here to try as preamp I liked the 2c51 in front of 6bl7 gta.

I'm still wondering if he understands who the Luddites were? Since his reference doesnt imply here. Since I use and enjoy the digital format, and own, and invest in it, I dont see the connection.

Not true. Vinyl is for people who prefer the sound of vinyl over the sound of digital. Or for people who like both depending on the recording. The closest i come to to tweaking as far as vinyl is concerned is washing the used vinyl with my 16.5 when it gets here. I listen to vinyl about 90% of the time. Hardly a tweak to the system.

Thanks for the help everybody. Ended up getting one from a place called "Adorama" Its one of there in house made cases. Also picked up A weird looking little mini tripod called the GorillaPod. That looks like it for the socking stuffers.

I got my wife the Canon digital Rebel XTi and a Quantaray 70/300 lens for her birthday about a month ago. She needs a case and nothing at Wolfs is cutting it. Any leads to where I can find a nice one?

I had the NAD C320BEE in an office system. it was a nice little over achiever. They go for around 200-250.
