Sitting in the airport, just had bad airport food with SiBurning, and have an hour or so to kill. It was truly wonderful seeing friends again, meeting some new folks, and I think I confirmed, at least to myself, I may have been the least craziest person in attendance, which may or may not be a good thing (Matt's calling my demure behavior my mid-life crisis). Anyway, big thanks to the Chicago team's hospitality. You guys were great.

i listened to the T1s this weekend with the TTVJ Peak amp, the Woo 22 and 6SE, the Isabella, and probably one or two more set ups I don't remember. I found them to be decent, but nothing special. I was very underwowed by them.

I agree. I was also quite surprised that I quite liked the digital output thingy, and spent quite a bit of time with it with my ipod and both the alo RX and pico slim, comparing it to the ipod and amps alone. The projected price point is around $500, though, which seems high to me.

They certainly did. First period was a blowout. We watched the first two periods in a downtown pub called The Map Room, which was fortunately not a hardcore hockey place, making it less brutal to watch.

Since I never win anything, I didn't even buy extra tickets this time. I won with the one ticket everyone got for simply showiing up.

They're going to gives a discount on the 3A package, since I'd bought them with the 16s. Haven't worked out the details yet of what that means, but it's definitely cool.

The Hawks didn't play poorly at all. Flyers defense was just seriously good, though started looking a bit tired in the third, as they should. They're pretty much running only two shifts of defense. I was particularly enjoying Coburn, whom I've not paid much attention to before. As for taking Pronger out, that should have happened years ago with the Ducks, and the simple fact that he's still playing his total-fucker style of hockey, shutting shutting down both Kane and Toews in seemingly single plays, and scoring goals while clocking some serious ice-time means he's not going to be taken out without some freak injury or without taking others with him. I don't know what slashing, tripping, holding, high-sticking Pronger moves you were watching last night, but other than the regular post-whistle bumps and pokes, he was playing good, clean, mean hockey and I liked it.

Proud to say Gene and I were the very loud, sole Flyers' fans in a packed bar of Blackhawks' fans. Fun game, and we're still alive. Win-win.
