Nice friend. Well, you've got me digging around couple boxes of cds, and I'm finding all kinds of stuff I haven't listened to in ages. Samamidon - This Chicken Proved Falsehearted
-
As did I Their root beer is supposedly better than their cola, so I got a twelve pack: 4 root beer, 4 cola, 2 ginger ale, and 2 cream soda. The shipping ended up more than the soda, but it came out to be $2.50 per bottle, which isn't bad since I don't drink soda much at all. I just ordered from the company: https://www.sprecherbrewery.com/index.php The only two places in Florida that sell it are the Mellow Mushroom in Tampa, and the Cock and Bull Pub in Sarasota, where we've had one of the best post-meet (or was it pre-met) parties I can recall.

Flonn Regan - The End of History Jin, although Irish, this kinda fits it with your current interest, and it's really good.

When I called, I asked if they had replacements and was told no, but we'll see. I got out of work late and just didn't feel like dealing with the mall. Since i have something to return in that mall anyway, I'll head out tomorrow morning and get everything done at once.

Like everyone has said, great pictures, Grahame.

Patty Griffin - Living with Ghosts

It is dead, and won't turn on at all. I've had it plugged in, had a few folks look at it, including at patient who worked Apple, and they all agree that it's just dead dead dead. :( . I've called the local Apple Store, and they told me to bring it in, but they don't have a replacement for me, but will gladly put me back in line for when more come in. I'm pissed and will investigate what else I can do after work, but damn.

Horse Feathers - House With No Home and Horse Feathers - Words Are Dead This is all Jin's fault
-
Jin, thanks. Now I'm digging through stuff I love, but forgot about. I think you'll love Horse Feathers. Really interesting music. I adore House With No Home and Words Are Dead and I just went and bought Thistled Spring.

Definite yes to Hem, and well, most of Ric's list, though I don't know Kate Rusby, Clem Snide (what a name!), or Ass Pony, and don't like Kathleen Edwards. Now, this is way off, being a London band, but not really if it's the feel you're looking for, even if it's very English. Well, you'll know what I mean if you check it out. and this is a must:

She's a little too pop-ish for my taste. I'm listening to this now: Buddy and June Miller Written in Chalk.
-
So, listening to Ben Nichols right now and just remembered that you should not dismiss the Dixie Chicks, even if they're more straight up pop country. I really like Taking the Long Way Home, and may listen to it next. Tres Chicas - Bloom, Red and the Ordinary Girl. A bit unusual, and not for everyone, but it's for me. Definitely check out Shannon McNally - I like her music a lot, but something about her voice bugs me a bit. She was popular in the WARLTN thread for awhile. okay, that's it for now. Wait....Eastmountainsouth...an absolute must!

Okay, now looking through my ipod, which has only a limited selection because I'm too lazy to put a lot of stuff on at any one time: Ben Nichols -The Last Pale Light In The West This is a must-check out. The Weepies (more folkie) - pretty much anything. I've been liking Say I am You Slaid Cleaves - check him out. He's a great songwriter, but his asshole producers like to slicken him up too much for my taste. Ryan Bingham - Mescalito (oooh..I haven't listened to this in a long time). Okay, I'll look though my computer and cds next.
-
Jim White is very fun. Great lyrics. Egad. Alison Krauss & Union Station - take your pick. New Favorite is an easy place to start. Check out Crooked Still also.

Redbird - Redbird

I'd say nearly one half of my posts in the What Are You Listening To Now thread fit the bill, though a lot of my choices lean more towards the folky side of things. From just today's listening (and I highly recommend all): Emmylou Harris - Wrecking Ball and Red Dirt Girl Kris Delmhorst - Songs for a Hurricane Lyle Lovett - Joshua Judges Ruth Steve Earle - Townes John Prine -self-titled Various Artists - O Brother Where Art Thou and general favs: Anything Cowboy Junkies Be Good Tanyas: Hello Love, Chinatown, and Blue Horse Patti Griffin - Living with Ghosts, Impossible Dream, 1000 Kisses Son Volt - American Central Dust Redbird - self-titled (this is Kris Delmhorst, Jeffrey Foucault, and Peter Mulvey). I think I'll listen to this now. Another Kris Delmhorst - Shotgun Singer The Wailin' Jennys - Live at the Mauch Chunk Opera House I'll be back with more, but that's just off the top of my head.

No. Those will not do at all.

We need pics, of course Rumors of Flyers sniffing around Vokoun as well as others for goal, but hoping Panthers hang on to him. Sun Sentinel is reporting that he'll stay, but the rumors are still churning.

Well, no longer the playoffs, but Halak traded to the Blues today. Wow.

Dakota Suite - The End of Trying Simple, beautiful. Remnants of pain with lots of tenderness. I love this.

I'm having a very happy afternoon of music while typing annoying documentation of morning sessions. Steve Earle - Townes
