  1. Happy birthday, Greg. Hope the day is a nice one
  2. Re games, Plants vs. Zombies is very fun. I'm also enjoying Words with Friends. I'm playing with Jeff and Dinny right now. Does anyone else have this? I've also been messing around with the Pages app. I like it.
  3. Goldmund - The Malady of Elegance
  4. Deer Tick - The Balck Dirt Sessions I really like this cd.
  5. Well, it took me three days to investigate just this post, though haven't even bothered with the funny lyrics section yet. Dusty, I'm familiar with the Sigur Ros on down, but I had never even heard of the Devics, and really liked all three cds you mentioned from the samples I heard (I didn't like the other cds they had available). I was able to buy My Beautiful Sinking Ship, and The Stars at Saint Andrea, but cannot find If You Forget Me outside of MP3 downloads. If anyone bumps into this cd on their musical wanderings, let me know. I also liked the Hindle Wakes.
  6. Homemade peach pie. Gotta love co-workers that bake.
  7. Marcin Wasilewski Trio - January Good mellow-Monday-morning-all-you-crazy-people-aren't-going-to-get-to-me office music.
  8. Handsome Furs - Face Control
  9. Deer Tick - War Elephant
  10. Andy, it won't open for me. All I get is the company info then poof gone. I deleted it and tried again, but same deal. Got it working. Fun, fast little game. So far, I definitely prefer it over Safari, and though I haven't spent much time yet with the Atomic one, I like this once I figured out the bookmarking thing. I haven't really used the Q feature yet.
  11. Happy birthday, Scott! Hope you have fun.
  12. On Kindness Was looking for a book to try with my ipad, and though their selection isn't great, this one piqued my interest. I'm only about 20 pages in, but I rather liked their definition of kindness as "the ability to bear the vulnerability of others, and therefore of oneself." I'd not really framed it that way before in my mind. and in paperback: Generation Me: Why Today's Young Americans Are More Confident, Assertive, Entitled--and More Miserable Than Ever Before I've been slowly reading this for work over the last couple months. I'd recommend it to anyone having to work within the culture of entitlement and still get things done.
  13. Sadly, I can't do that. I can do Saturdays, but not for a couple weeks.
  14. I've heard In the Reins before, but never really paid attention. I'll check the others out.
  15. I'll admit to not following the Thrashers until the end of this season, but they did seem to make out on the trade deal, and Byfuglien is damn good. Billy can't be happy right now
  16. I'm slowly making my way through all the suggestions folks gave me. This one, from Dusty, I quite like and picked up this afternoon from Barnes and Noble.
  17. Oh my. I wonder what his speeches/policies are going to be like in the future. This is better than a sitcom.
  18. I shot one awhile back, back when you couldn't get one, or I would have bought one then. I'd met a local couple from Defensive Carry forum at the range and we tried out each other's guns. The woman was carrying the EMP. That was the only time I shot one. It's a really good carry size for me, and I like that it's a 1911 style, but Springfield reengineered the entire 1911 for 9mm, not just squished a 1911 down and chopped off the barrel to 3". It fits great in my hands, and I like it. Going to the range tomorrow.
  19. Yup, though picked up two Seecamp .380s also. I liked the Sig P238 also.
  20. Springfield EMP 9mm
  21. We're talking on the weekend, right?
  22. Al, that's a really nice CD I forgot about. Maybe I'll listen to it now. Well, if you took away the vocals completely, I'd like it. I just can't listen to that voice.
  23. Really like and got all three. Thanks!
