If I want to go to Tampa next weekend, I need to work this weekend, and I have zero idea when I find time, but maybe I'll call them, and see what they can put together for me.

So, I thought my Christmas shopping was done, but turns out my brother already owns the first thing I bought for him. I now want to get him a basic, all-inclusive, beginner brewing kit, and I've been looking around, mostly at Amazon, but I obviously have no clue what's decent or not. I'm fine with anything in $200 range or under. Any ideas?

Why are there not three threads already honoring this man's birthday? Happy birthday to Gene! Party in Tampa!

I'm old school. That's only fun in person.

Figures that this is the week my team decides to start scoring points. It's a little too late to mean much.
-
Happy birthday to you, Haj!

I could bring guns.

^ I just got that in the mail yesterday! I guess I'll listen to it now.

Yup. They're that good. Justin, that's just nasty looking.

There are some absolutely disgusting meat pics in here lately, but not as disgusting as reading mypasswordis is can eat almost 4000 calories a day. I gain weight if I eat more than 1600 a day, and that's when I'm working out. The pizza looks good, Mike. I am having homemade butternut squash soup and a salad. Not my best effort, but I used only what was already in the house.

Two cases of the Leonidas Belgium chocolate lollipops! Thanks, Dan, for reminding me of these. With 30 in each case, I just covered delicious little gifts for all my co-workers, the neighbors, my family, and most importantly, for me! Not bad.

Glad to know I'm not alone, and ditto with hoping some day it will make a visible difference, but I do feel great when done. Maybe all those other folks have numb butts or just like pain. I seem to be the only one suffering in class. Also, I'm just now seeing all my ipad typos. Ooops.

It's not a chaffing problem, but more like a bruising. I'm sitting in a comfy, soft chair at the salon right now, and I'm sore, probably because I went two days in a row. I was going to go tomorrow as well because I know like it, but I dot think so. I'm not hardcore enough to do the bike shorts thing yet. Folks in the classes all tell me that I'll get used to it. We'll see. On the good news front, I successfully completed my Christmas shopping today, and am now getting all signs of my true aged banished from my hair before taking myself out to a nice dinner. It's a very nice Sunday.

Went to the gym again this morning. I've now done about ten spinning classes and am starting to like them. My butt still feels wounded when I'm done, and I definitely wasted money on a $20 gel seat that doesn't really help, but there will hopefully be less of it to hurt if I keep this up.

Okay, I'm curious. What are you considering next week?

Happy birthday, Zoe! Have a great day!

Definitely a typo. I have one pair of wireless I'm wearing now (don't really like), and tried on nearly every pair of wireless and half wireless in the store because that's what I thought I wanted. Very few fit my face at all (rested on my cheeks), and none of them looked good, which is strange because you'd think they'd just disappear, but they all looked wrong.

Just left the eye doctor $750 poorer. Bought two pair of regular glasses, and one pair of prescription sunglasses. The frames were all under $150, but once you add in progressive lenses, anti-glare stuff, etc....... The older I get, the less I like wearing contacts all day, and I never liked my other glasses. I have a hard time finding any glasses that fit, let alone look good, since I have fat cheeks and a weirdly small head. I got one everyday pair, one fun (purple) pair, and the first pair of sunglasses that I've owned in awhile that don't make me look like I auditioning for the role of a mutant insect in a sic-fi horror flick. I'm broke, but happy.

Happy birthday, Bryan!

Keith Jarrett/Charlie Haden - Jasmine I don't remember buying this, but am glad I did. It's really very relaxing and sweet. Suits my mood.

Craig, your daughter is gorgeous!

Good news about your mom, Shelly. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

I slept in until 8:00, which is an excellent beginning! I am very thankful for my head-case friends, and wish you all a wonderful day.

I always thought those things were cat toys at best.

Sending good wishes to Shelly's mom. Hang in there, Shelly. You're a good daughter. Ditto on thanking you guys for the support, but I'm fine and situations like this make me realize that all my "problems" are luxuries. Went to work yesterday, then over to my friend's house, where his parents now were, along with her brother and sister, a neighbor, a couple co-workers, and lots of food. One of those weird phases where everyone was talking about "everything but," and lots of weird coincidences between everyone kept popping up. Her brother is a lawyer, who represents lots of well-known photographers and their estates, and has worked with people I know and have worked with in NY. Her neighbor had flown up to a show at The Met Museum he put together years ago and had probably met him, and one of my co-workers had lived almost next door to both his step-father's home in North Carolina in the 70s and my friend's sister in upstate NY in the 80s. Lots of other connections, weirdness and laughter. It was kind of a necessary break in a day of ugly details and organizing. They decided on a memorial service after the holiday, and my friend is going up to NY with her family for Thanksgiving, which is good.
