  1. TN released the dog tags as they were at my house when I got home. Perfect luggage tag size for the Tri-star.
  2. Mike, it's too bad you can't have the bag for your trip. I've been waiting on dog tags from Rex Oxx for over a week. Last time I checked with UPS, they were stuck in TN due to weather.
  3. Was built in 1978 with the cheapest materials made at the time.
  4. Congrats, Birgir! I had another one of those unexpected home nightmares (wiring at the fuse box that was fizzing and popping) that resulted in hiring an electrician at post-5PM rates. At least I had no fire. Now, I need to get him back during the day hours to check all the wiring. In the past few months, I had replace the refrigerator and water heater, and get major work done on my car. I'm feeling poor.
  5. The new ones should be ready shipping end of next week or thereabouts. Both Jamie and Zac have contacted me recently re sweatshirt size and artwork.
  6. Dang, Jeff. Well, I supposed half-measures were never anyone's strong suit around here. The sunchaser was one of the ones I was looking at, but I, like Mike, wanted the backpack option. As long as you're on a roll and getting into the packing right thing, if you don't want to bundle everything (I prefer this to avoid wrinkles), you seem like the kind of guy that might like packing folders for shirts. You can fit quit a few in the Eagles Creek 18". It comes with a board to get them all nice and neat.
  7. What's funny is Dinny started this thread wanting a bag for his work stuff, and I don't think he got one, and he bumped it wanting a carry-on bag, and everyone but Dinny is getting one. Gene, are you bringing the Skytrain to MOA? Jim, are you bringing the Airboss? Jeff, what did you buy?
  8. Hah. When you get into something, you don't exactly hold back.
  9. I think the Zephyr is the better looking bag.
  10. That would magic powder leaking then. It doesn't leave a mark on bags, only on wallets.
  11. Well, not like a big back grease or tar smear on a red bag from setting the bag down in the wrong place by accident (I have two bags that happened to).
  12. I chose black as well. Though I thought the indigo and red bags were beautiful, I don't see any reason to draw undue attention to my bag when traveling, especially if it's a carry-on. I can see wanting a different color for check-on luggage, just to easily identify it, but I still prefer to be low key. Plus, black won't show dirt. Marc's steel/solar is also quite nice.
  13. It's very fun. I got through about 1/3 of the levels then gave up, but maybe I'll pick it up again and try.
  14. Congrats, Mike. What color did you get?
  15. You joined about 10 months after the welcome pm was put in place, so you got one. For memory's sake (I added in the bold to address what appears to be your personal issue here): I'm going to suggest you try that out before posting again.
  16. Blech. I'm closing this thread. If someone thinks it deserves space here, re-open it.
  17. If I had a pair of wooden clogs, I could still do the dance and sing the song about the tulips blooming in Holland, Michigan. I had to look at my license the other day to recall my zip code, but I can still remember most everything from 2nd Grade. Scary. I threw away most everything in my closet. Decided I didn't like the stuff, and a full closet was annoying me.
  18. Get Ety ER4P, mess with the tips until you get one that fits. Great isolation. Or go with customs. JH13/16.
