Just like old times. I'm so happy. Looking forward to tomorrow. Jacob, here's a couple shots from yesterday, just to make you want him more. The guilty face and dirty beard of a cat food thief. Puppy love face. I'll get out of new mom picture pushing mode sometime soon, but he's a pretty great little puppy, even though he peed on John's floor. Raffy and I are riding in the morning, so off to sleep.

Boo. I wish I was there as well. No one told me.

Yay, Dinny! Happy birthday!

So.....would anyone object if I brought the puppy? I'm not yet ready to leave him home all day/evening. He's a pretty chill little guy. I can bring his crate and also drive him home if he gets out of hand for some unknown reason. This is Watson hanging out at daycare yesterday: Oh...and the Stax/BHSE rig will be in attendance. Not sure which source I'll bring yet.

Happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice pic, Mike. Maybe our guys can meet soon. Folks are telling me that a new dog beach opened up on Palmetto at A1A. I'm interested in checking it out.

Last needed shot today. My boy is 11.4 pounds. He's gained two since his last visit two weeks ago. He's still a bit smaller than his siblings, including the runt, but the breeder confirmed that he's always been the pickiest eater and least interested in food of the litter. Vet said he's happy and healthy, so I'm not going to worry. Getting both him and the very mad cat to the vet this morning was quite the circus. Time for a nap.

Well, I'm very in. Excited to have the gang together, even if not the full gang.

Neighbor took this today while I was at work. I love my little boy. He's as sweet and fun as he looks. Oh, and he's getting big. I've had him three weeks today. He lost a half pound the first week, but he's now up almost three pounds from that. It's like he grew overnight. He's still a tiny dog, but you can't tell with all his hair. I gave him a bath and brushed his teeth on Sunday. That was...er...interesting.

Damb, Jacob. You've had quite an ugly run lately. So, I pulled a Colin today. I went to a friend's new office opening, and she had a raffle with all the money going to a women's shelter. I bought 15 tickets and won five prizes, giving the last one to the guy standing next to me, too embarrassed to go up yet again. I won a facial, three massages, and a chiropractic session. Nice end of a long day.

It was yesterday, but had a nice brunch with Carl and Bonnie. It had been too long. Got in a very short bike ride this morning, and am now clicker training the puppy. Damn, I wished I could have used this on my last boyfriend. This clicker stuff is genius.

Happy birthday to you!!!

Wallace is Waton's cousin. Too funny.

My baby has mild case of kennel cough Though he had all his shots, including bordetella, my vet thinks that due to the incubation period and timing, he probably acquired it on the puppy van coming down from Alabama with all the additional stress and a bunch of other puppies in close quarters. He's feeling good today, but I have to keep him away from other dogs for two weeks, which means no day care. Gotta figure something else out. Between me coughing with my cold, his coughing, and the cat's snoring, we're a noisy home.

Happy belated birthday to you. Hope it was wonderful.

I just want to stop the anxiety barking and growling, not the hello or alerting stuff. I got tips on how to stop him from carrying on once he's started, which is what I'm looking for. He was the only puppy in the class today, and other than being already pooped out from accidentally getting there and hour early and wandering around a very exciting PetSmart with lots of peoples and doggies, he did great. He'd mastered verbal sit the other day, so on to just hand signal which he figured out in only a couple tries. Worked on "watch me," and a bit of leash advise. They do clicker training, and he likes it. He played with the neighbor girls after getting home, and is now sleeping next to Ivan, so close his feet are touching Ivan's back. I love my boys. On an amusing note, Robert Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes just came on tv. I've never seen it. Interesting timing. In the opening scene, one of the character's calls Watson Sherlock's dog.

^ So, this puppy is smart. He got "sit" in about 15 minutes and it stuck, though I suspect he'd heard and seen it before having spent his first three and a half months in a house with dogs and people. Started with "down" last night, and this morning, he's got it, though his version of down consists of pouncing into position. It's cute. We start puppy class today, the first of six in a six-week block. Outside of the basics, I really want to address his growling and barking at other dogs, some people, and the occasional leaf or twig, especially when we're out at 6AM for an early morning pee. I'm sure my neighbors will not be happy if this continues. It's funny at whom he decides he needs to growl. Met John at a restaurant last night. Watson was fine with pretty much everyone, except some guy at another table, who wasn't even that close to us or paying attention, and probably didn't even know there was a puppy. Watson was on my lap or on the floor, and just kept looking at him, quietly growling his direction. Weird.

Found the spare keys. Thanks goodness. On another good note. We worked on "sit" this morning. He'll now sit on command, but he'll also sit whenever I make I contact, hoping for a treat, so I'm not sure if it counts.

Ivan and Watson are already playing, but Watson cheats. He chased Ivan, who was playing with a toy mouse. Ivan chased back, but as soon as he got close, Watson started yelping like he just got stepped on hard, which scared Ivan enough to run the other direction, and Watson ran back and stole the mouse. Too funny. Both slept on the bed together again, though Ivan moved to the laundry hamper at some point in the night. I think this is going to work out fine. He went to the groomer yesterday, and is looking handsome. We went to Pet Smart and hung out at a busy outdoor restaurant, where he did fine. We start puppy class on Saturday. He's pretty territorial/protective of me already (will get between me and approaching others and growl), which is a behavior I want to nip in the bud now before he turns into one of those horrid, aggressive small dogs. Since I've never had a dog before, I need the training. Pic of my baby last night with a friend: So my car is still at the restaurant. Some how my keys disappeared though I never left the table, and was parked on the street right next to it. All I can figure is that someone picked them up by accident since about ten different people were hanging out asking about him. Sucks. At least I had my house keys separate. Now to find where I put that spare set.........

Ouch, Chris. Definitely glad it wasn't worse. Dan, cool that your kids are getting into it. Watson has his vet appt. early Saturday, and we start puppy training class right after so I'm not going to be able to get out my bike until Sunday. Glad I got the puppy, but rides longer than a couple hours are going to be out for a few weeks.
