  1. Got an idea I've been working on approved by my boss today, meaning more money for me, but not too much more work (so I say to myself now), then went to see Cirque Dreams Illumination. I thought it would be a bit cheesy after seeing the official youtube clip, but I really enjoyed it, and the acrobatics were amazing. Today was a really good day.
  2. Wings get the sweep, which means a lot more time for injuries to heal up, and some good rest the other teams won't have. Love it. Hoping all other series go to 7.
  3. Al, I feel for you. I've been there a couple times before and it's real scary. Since my family and many friends are still back in Michigan, I keep hearing this same thing about so many good folks I know. Sending good thoughts your way.
  4. Should be lots of interesting games tonight. Hoping the Wings get the sweep!
  5. It's the medium...and it's not a purse...though nice try, Dan.
  6. Trevor W..... Work Experience ArcSight / Sales Engineer 2007 - Present Originally Based out of Ottawa, Ontario. Currently in Atlanta, GA. Fortinet, Inc. / Pre / Post Sales Training 2004 - 2007 Based out of Vancouver, BC and Ottawa, Ontario Stop playing stupid.
  7. Well, Wings up by two in the first on pps. Coyotes losing their cool. On a bad note, NBC showed a clip of Zetterberg at practice doing a hard stop at the net. It wasn't pretty, and off the ice he went right after, looking in pain. I can't see him coming back for awhile, if at all. EDI: just as posted, they scored again. 3-0 in the first. Datsyuk is just beautiful to watch, scoring or setting one up.
  8. Congrats on all the health news, folks. Shelly, it's time to take care of yourself as well. Me, I got nothing and like it. This is the first weekend in awhile where I didn't have out of town visitors, was out of town myself, or otherwise occupied. It's all been good stuff, but I'm really looking forward to doing lots of nothings and watching hockey.
  9. Better than plastic penis advice. Again, count your blessings.
  10. Are you serious? You've been treated with kindness and real answers. Be thankful.
  11. And that was that. Defensive fail. BTW, in case anyone forgot, this is the 20th consecutive year that the Wings have been in the playoffs.
  12. Capitals vs Rangers - Washington in 6 Flyers vs Sabres - Philadelphia in 5 Bruins vs Habs - Boston in 7 Penguins vs Lightning - Tampa Bay in 7 Canucks vs Hakws - Vancouver in 5 Sharks vs Kings - San Jose in 6 Wings vs Coyotes - Detroit in 5 (if Zetterberg comes back, in 4) Ducks vs Predators - Ducks in 7
  13. Speedy recovery to Mr. Shelly. Hope they can find out what's causing the infection. This, iirc, has been going on for a couple weeks now.
  14. I predicted he'd run away and hide under the bed, but instead, he stood his ground and went in full attack mode, growling, hissing, and puffing up before he launched. Poor little, happy spaniel didn't have a chance. Now, my friends aren't staying with me tonight, which I guess is fine. We had a really nice dinner out, and I'll meet up with them after work tomorrow. I have a clean house to myself, and I'll get some sleep.
  15. Ivan can't even kill a toy. I think the odds are against him. Plus, according to my friend, her Springer Spaniels have no idea what a cat is, having never been around one before. I suspect the hunt will be on.
  16. Well, I'm still waiting for my friends, who were supposed to be in town yesterday. Apparently, there was no one sober enough to drive from St. Petersburg, but now they are on their way, but bringing dogs. I wonder how Ivan is going to handle it. I'm half relieved as I had time to really clean my house for the first time in months, but half sad that I'll be going to work tomorrow morning, and girls' weekend is turning into a late dinner and pj party...but with dogs. Oh, but I did get to watch a great Wings vs. Blackhawks game. I'm looking forward to the playoffs.
  17. uh...... I'm waiting for girl-weekend (okay, one gay guy is coming along) to start. Four of my childhood friends should be here later this evening, all of whom I've known and loved for at least 40 years despite being crazy, or maybe because of it. Looking forward to laughing a lot.
  18. Love the pic of Colin. I'll add in my good luck wishes on the house sale, Ken.
  19. I'm just catching up on this thread. Dinny, congrats on the Tri-Star. I've now taken two trips with it, and love it. Because I didn't need to pack it even close to full on this last one, its was easy to stuff it under the airplane seat, and my clothes were nicely unwrinkled (bundle wrapped two outifts) when I unpacked them. I have the black/red, but have the steel dyneema in packing cubes and a stuff sack, and it's a good color. I'm 99% sure black/steel is the color of Mike's Aeronaut, and it looks great. Nice Vibrams, Mike. And yes, Dan, some of us slow pokes still need media storage. As anyone whose has seen my floor storage method knows, I should be looking into one of the can-ams
