  1. MTV was back filming my spinning class today for their True Life I'm an Addict show (No one's supposed to know that's what it is, but everyone does), but I chose to actually participate this time rather than not go for the third week. I told the camera guy that I did not want to be filmed and offered to move my bike to the corner, but he said that wasn't necessary. Mind you, this gym is a dumpy little place where classes are not popular, and there is room for only four bikes in the back row, so when he had that camera panning across the room, I don't know how I could not have been missed. I know that four weeks of filming this class may result in only a few seconds of airtime, but if I'm in that show for only one second, I'm going to be pissed, and I'll be looking for HC Legal Team help. The other weird thing was that the actual instructor was in the back row with me, and the girl they were following was the instructor. Per my trainer, the gym hired her, but plans on firing her as soon as the filming is done, which is a good thing because she spent the majority of the class watching herself in the mirror. It's hard to understand someone yelling instructions when you're right in front of her, but her is face turned sideways and only the mirror can hear. Also, there were a couple girls that showed up in their best slutty gym clothes with nicely done hair and eye make-up. They didn't participate in the class or workout anywhere else in the gym, but sat on the floor watching and texting and following the young, cute camera man around. I worked out with my trainer after class, and when I was leaving, I saw them being filmed talking to the soon-to-be-fired fake instructor, so I guess they got what they wanted. I hope this is the last week this is happening.
  2. If I recall, I quite enjoyed my old K1000s with my F1. Welcome newbie!
  3. Happy birthday to you, Brent!
  4. Was a great game. Yay Tampa!
  5. I am now cheering for the Sharks and Tampa Bay, though really don't care much if they win or lose. I'll be watching this afternoon's game. Hope it's a good one.
  6. Oh....as for me, I just kinda got booted from my spinning class this morning. I did not want to be filmed for MTVs Real Life I'm an Addict, and they're apparently following around yet another addict in my town. I'm sick of addicts.
  7. Congrats to Nate and family!!! You do know that you now broke the HC baby girls run that had been going for a couple years now, right? I'm sure the docs are telling you true, and that all will be well soon. Get some sleep while you can.
  8. Three meals, two mini meals. I like to eat.
  9. It's my first time trying the transitions. I'm tired of trying to find my lost prescription sun glasses or forgetting them just when I need them. Today, I purchased something I'm quite excited about. I'd been admiring the food a co-worker always has with him for a month or so, and couldn't figure out how he had time to put together so many great looking meals. Turns out that he didn't cook a thing. He's friends with a chef from one of my favorite restaurants, who recently started up a delivery service: all organic, various meal plans for whatever diet you want from paleo to vegan, etc. The cost is $500 a month for four meals a day (you're responsible for breakfast), and he delivers them to work three times a week. I tried out a few sample meals today, and I certainly don't cook that well. I also spend more than that on food which I end up throwing away before I can use it all. I'm also often too tired to deal with cooking at the end of the day and end up eating horrible frozen meals or worse junky fast food. I also have my own huge refrigerator at work (bigger than my one at home), so no problem there. I signed up without hesitation.
  10. Got a pair of Silhouette super bendy, lightweight glasses with the transition, bifocal, no glare, safety lenses. Since giving up on contacts for most daily wear, I keep losing, scratching, breaking all my expensive glasses, so I sprung for an even more expensive pair that I'm not as likely to take off and mess up or lose, and if I do break them or even scratch the lenses, they'll replace them for free for two years. Should have them next week. This is the frame. My lenses are a different shape.
  11. They pulled off another last night, and dominated throughout. Thursday night should be a great hockey game no matter who wins, but let's go Wings!
  12. Congrats to Brittnie/Mike, Bryan and Al! Wonderful news all around! As for me, due to my car being at the shop and their driver having to pick me up at work at 3PM to take me to it, I decided to take the last two hours off and get home early. Feel like an excited little kid skipping school. Congrats to me!
  13. Far better than those freaky purples you like so much.
  14. Tom Bihn just announced that they've the 1050d ballistic nylon now in navy. I wished I'd waited so I could get my tri-star in navy. Is it bad I'm still considering it?
  15. I admit to having watched this multiple times now.
